It's marketed for beginners, and it works well with both short pips and inverted rubber. Also, since it doesn't have much bounce, it's good training for learning to hit with your own power.

I'll be honest, this is 4000 yen? I honestly thought it was 6000 yen. It's amazing. I play a short-pips, close-to-the-table attacking style, so it's easy for me to use.

First off, since it's a 7-ply blade, it has speed. Other people say it's the same as the Acute, but there's no comparison — the spin is incredible. Personally, I'd choose this over a single-ply blade by a landslide. You get performance beyond a single-ply blade at a low price. It's labeled as beginner-friendly, but that's ridiculous — sure, it's easy to control, but it's definitely not just for beginners. It's just too good. If you're just starting out and looking at this, I really can't say you shouldn't buy it. Anyway, it's amazing, easy to use, with plenty of performance — both speed and spin are great, so I'd recommend it to anyone using a Japanese penhold. Sorry for the long comment.

This is a follow-up to the comment I left back in November. After using it for two weeks (comparing it to the Cypress V-Max as well), first off, the speed is slower than a single-ply blade, but the spin is better than a single-ply blade. If you put tension rubber on it, both spin and speed go up, so I'd recommend Vega Asia or Roundell Hard. I'll post again once I switch to a tension rubber.

Easy to use, even intermediate players can handle it well. I used Roundell Soft, which is easier to use compared to high-tension rubbers. Drive: spin comes on easily and speed too, drawing a nice arc. Short: the spin is incredible, the ball curves across half the table. Serve: sidespin is insane, though no-spin serves are about average. Short game: pushes and stops come out just fine — stops in particular land on the table and come back. It's really great.

I got this from a friend. Among beginner-level blades, this one is fantastic, head and shoulders above the rest. That said, since I always use the Cypress V-Max, it might feel a bit lacking for me. Even with Sriver FX on it, the spin is amazing. I really think this is a penhold blade you should buy if you want to go from playing table tennis for fun to playing it for real. Sorry for the long comment!!
