Yasaka Mark V is one of the oldest and well known rubbers in the history of this sport. Originally released in 1969, this rubber helped revolutionize table tennis by proving that a heavy topspin attacking style was not only viable, but would also become the dominant style of table tennis from the 1970s all the way to today. These days, Mark V is still characterized by its grippy surface, medium sponge, and superb control. Today, it is a solid choice for beginners with an allround blade and all the way up to high level play when boosted and on a more offensive blade.

This is a rubber that's still shining decades after its release.
The feel and control are still extremely reliable even today.
It falls behind today's rubbers in speed and spin,

This rubber is popular among players ranging from beginner to intermediate level — it's the kind of rubber you'd call a "start here first" choice.
I think it's perfect for players who can't decide which rubber to pick.
That's because it has no quirks — while it doesn't have any standout strengths, it also has no real weaknesses.Durability is good too; it felt like it lasted about three months for me, so please do give it a try.

Yeah! It's not bad!
But you shouldn't compare it to the heavy, high-tension rubbers that are popular right now!
If you do compare, it loses on both speed and spin.
But! The control is good.
You can hit exactly where you're aiming!It might be a good choice for beginners, or for people who like a highly elastic rubber!
