The Battle of Minoshima! An evolution of Mark V

This is an evolved version of Mark V, but I wish it had a bit more bounce.
Still, it felt like it retained that distinctive feel Mark V had.
Mark V really is immortal, huh.
If you don't want to use the same rubber as everyone else, this could be a good choice — especially for choppers.

To get straight to the conclusion, in today's table tennis with the 40mm plastic ball, I felt this wasn't a rubber you really need to bother using.
Mark V itself is a rubber I loved and used a lot back in the celluloid-ball era, and it's still a rubber I'm very fond of.I also bought and test-hit the regular Mark V at the same time - this one has more bounce than the regular Mark V, but of course, compared to other tension rubbers, it doesn't have much bounce at all.
As for spin performance, it only produces the kind of spin that's just easy for the opponent to block, so scoring points through spin alone is basically impossible unless the opponent is weak.
It might be possible to punch through with a fast drive, but since it doesn't have as much bounce as tension rubber, you end up thinking, wouldn't it be better to just use a tension rubber with good control instead?I can recommend it for beginners to develop a feel for putting spin on the ball themselves and aiming for specific courses, but for someone who wants to actually win and take titles at tournaments, there are now higher-performance rubbers available at the same price point, so I'd recommend those instead.

Frankly, I think this is plenty good enough as a B-side (secondary side) rubber for players who consider themselves mid-level at "city/town tournaments."
Honestly there's no "wow!" point to it, but it's easy to use overall and helps your game.
Compared to recent tension rubbers, it really doesn't have much bounce! But it doesn't overshoot even in tense moments, so you're not afraid to hit hard, and it has an average level of spin performance. It's a helpful rubber that handles pushes and blocks reasonably well too. (Except if you're someone who hits hard drives off the B-side!)
It's the kind of rubber that makes you think "this'll do for the B-side!" I think it's a good option to just lock this in on your B-side for the time being, and have fun trying out various trendy tension or tacky rubbers on your F-side!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

You can play without worrying much about the opponent's spin. I think it suits the backhand well. The consistency is incredible, and despite that it still generates good power.

Among high-elasticity rubbers, this one's on the faster side. The sheet's grip on the ball feels a bit weaker than the normal Mark V. It's not easily affected by the opponent's spin, so I'd recommend it for a beginner's backhand.

I borrowed this from a friend to try out.
(The overwhelming sense of security that comes with the name Mark V.)
It's not exactly the best value for money out there... but this one's solid.
It keeps all the ease of use of the normal Mark V, while boosting spin and speed.
This is the first rubber I've tried that's this easy to use while still giving plenty of spin and speed.
