  Sho-go (Experience: １１〜２０ years) The sponge's effect is huge

  

  A friend of mine had it, so I got to hit with it.
  Compared to the normal Mark V, the bounce is considerably higher. The topsheet is supposedly the same as the normal version, but maybe because the sponge wraps the ball more, I got the impression that both spin and the arc of the shot were also higher.
  The value for money is good too, so I can recommend it not just to beginners but to intermediate players as well.

  知人が使っていて打たせてもらいました。
  ノーマルのマークVに比べてかなり弾みがアップしています。またシートはノーマルと同じはずですが、スポンジが包む感触が強くなったためか回転量や打球の放物線もアップした印象です。
  コスパも良いので初級者だけでなく中級者にもオススメできます。

  Ichi (Experience: ２〜３ years) A bouncier version of the beginner rubber

  

  This is a Mark V with a boosted bounce. There's nothing particularly hard to use about it, and I think it's a good rubber with solid control.

  Shantung (Experience: ６〜１０ years)

  

  This is a speed-boosted version of the Mark V.
  It inherits the Mark V's ease of generating spin, so serves and pushes come out with consistent bite.
  The control is also good, so I think it's easy to play the short game and counter with it.
  Speed is fine for close-to-the-table play, but if you back off and hit, it falls short compared to recent German rubbers. It feels a bit lacking in power for hitting/flat shots.
  Overall it's easy to use, so I think it's a good rubber for junior players or anyone looking for stable play.

  マークVのスピード強化版。
  回転のかけやすさはマークVの流れを受け継いでおり、サーブ、ツッツキなど安定して切れます。
  コントロールも良いので、台上プレーやカウンターもしやすいと思います。
  スピードは前のプレーには問題ないですが、下がって打つと最近のドイツ系に比べると見劣りします。弾き系には少し威力に欠ける感じです。
  全体的には使いやすいので、ジュニアの方や、安定したプレーを求める方には良いラバーと思います。

  Sergei Out of respect for player Aida...

  

  I never really got along with the Mark V, but I bought it after finding out that Ageta, a player I personally like, uses it.
  Out of respect for him, I tried putting it on both sides.

  The weight wasn't a big deal. It's lighter than spin-oriented tension rubbers, so it was easier to swing through.
  And the bounce was just right. Even backed off the table, you can still attack effectively.
  On top of that, chops are easy to keep low. That said, unless you really slice down through the ball, an average player's touch will make it float. The sharpness of the cut... honestly I didn't think it was that great, at least when I was the one initiating the chop. When receiving an opponent's loop, though, I felt like it cut well enough. I think it suits a counter-attacking style where you retrieve first and strike back.

  Personally, I feel like the Mark V doesn't generate spin if you brush it lightly. And this HPS has inherited that same trait lol
  You need that feeling of really biting into the ball to get spin going.

  In the end, all I really came away with was a vague sense of how talented Ageta is (lol)
  I think it's good for a flashy inverted-inverted chopper who can hit with both hands (lol)

  苦手だったマークＶですが、個人的に好きな選手である英田選手が愛用していると分かり、購入。
  彼へのリスペクトを込めて、両面に貼ってみました。

  重量は大した事なかったです。スピン系テンションに比べれば軽いですから、振りぬきやすくなりました。
  そして弾みは絶妙でした。下がっていても攻撃が成立するラインです。
  それでいてカットは抑えやすい。ただ、切り落とすカットをしないと、一般人のタッチでは浮くと思います。キレは・・・正直あんまりいいと思えませんでした。自分から切って行くときは。相手のループを受けた時なんかは、しっかり切れていたと思います。拾ってから反撃、というタイプには合うと思います。

  個人的に、マークＶは薄く擦るとかからない、と思っています。そしてこのＨＰＳも、それを受け継いでしまっていますｗ
  食い込ませてかける感覚は必要ですね。

  結局、英田選手のポテンシャルの高さがなんとなく分かった、という程度で終わってしまいました(笑)
  両ハンドで打って行ける、チャラい裏裏カットマンにはいいと思います(笑)

  Waguti (Experience: ６〜１０ years) If it were a celluloid ball...

  

  I was surprised when I hit with it using the same feel as a Mark V. It bounces enough to feel like a completely different rubber.

  Even so, the trajectory is almost the same as the Mark V, so it's fantastic paired with a springy 5-ply blade. The arc is just gorgeous.

  It also doesn't have that typical tension-rubber sensation of the ball sinking in and flying off on its own, so your finer techniques stay stable.

  The downside is that the spin feels a bit lacking.

  The grip on the ball stays about the same level as the Mark V, but with the plastic ball, the spin feels a little weaker.

  If this were still the celluloid ball era, it might have been a rubber I'd have wanted to keep using...

  マークVと同じ感覚で打ったらビックリしました。別物と感じるぐらい弾みます。

  それでいて弾道はマークVとほぼ同じなので、よくしなる5枚合板と合わせると最高です。弧線にほれぼれします。

  またテンション特有の勝手に食い込んでとんでいく感覚がないので、細かい技術も安定します。

  欠点はスピンが物足りないこと。

  マークVと同じくらいのグリップ力は保たれていますが、プラボールだとちょっと回転力が弱く感じます。

  セルボールの時代だったら、使い続けたいと思えるラバーだったかもしれません…

  This rubber sits somewhere between a high-elasticity rubber and a tension rubber. It has excellent speed and control, and the feel on the ball was really good.

  Yokotsumi (Experience: ６〜１０ years) For those who don't suit spin-tension rubbers

  

  This is the max thickness version. I also bought the max thickness Mark V and compared them — first off, the weight was almost identical. Mine is cut to Korbel size, and both come out to 43 grams.
  They're supposedly the same sheet, but the grip on the ball doesn't feel the same. The HPS grips more. Both are black, but the HPS has visible pips and a glossy look. The Mark V feels smooth and grips a bit less. I'd say the HPS has about the best grip you can get among rubbers that aren't marketed for spin. It doesn't fly far on serves, so short, sharply spinning serves are easy to produce. The bounce is completely different between the two — the HPS bounces way more. That said, unlike a lot of recent rubbers, it doesn't fly upward, and it doesn't really have that "holding the ball" feeling either. Some people might like that and others might find it awkward, but I really like the trajectory, and I'd recommend it to anyone from beginner to intermediate level.

  Also, this rubber seems to last a really long time. I've had one on for over a year, and while it looks worn, the grip hasn't dropped off at all.

  特厚です。同じくマークV特厚も買い、比べてみましたが先ず重さが殆ど同じでした。自分のものだとコルベルのサイズにカットしたものでどちらも43グラムです。
  どちらも同じシートらしいですが引っ掛かりが同じに感じないです。HPSの方が強いです。どちらも黒ですがHPSが粒が見えていて光沢があります。マークVはサラッとしていて引っかかりが弱めです。HPSの引っ掛かりは回転を売りにしていない中では最高レベルだと思います。サーブだと飛びが弱いので短くて切れたサーブは容易です。弾みはもうこの2つは全然違ってHPSのが断然弾みます。しかし最近のラバーと違い上に飛ばないです。球持ちが長い感じもないです。それがいい人もいれば困る人も居るかもしれませんが自分はかなり好きな弾道で、初級者、中級者ならだれにでもおすすめです。

  それとこのラバー寿命が非常に長く感じます。一年以上たったものを貼っていて見た目は使い込まれているのですが引っ掛かりは落ちていないです。
