EVOLUTION EL-P is the most elastic rubber of the EVOLUTION rubber series. EL-P with its medium sponge perfectly fits in between the harder MX-P or MX-S and the softer FX-P and thus completes the EVOLUTION series.
The selected pimple geometry of the elastic EL-P does not even come close to the other EVOLUTION versions in terms of spin and speed. Very precise and powerful strokes can be realised at half distance or at the table.
EVOLUTION EL-P: chosen by most of the Topspin players for whom the MX version is too hard and the FX version too soft, however putting the emphasis on rotation and power.

I used the thick version on my forehand.
Any kind of serve is easy to do. It grips the ball really well and lets you put a lot of spin on your serves.
For drives, loop drives were easy to do. Speed drives felt a little lacking in power. Hitting from further back is a bit tough.
For the short game, flicks were hard for me, but I think that's just because I'm not very good, so it's not really a problem with the rubber. When I tried chiquita, it was easy to control, and I thought it'd be better used on the backhand.
The best thing about it is control. The ball goes where you want it to. You can aim for the corners of the table without any trouble.
For a beginner like me, I'd recommend using it on the forehand. I think it's worth trying at least once.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

King Kong (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Budget Tenergy

This really feels like a budget version of Tenergy 05, and it's super easy to use. Even if you swing without thinking about it, the ball automatically arcs and lands in the opponent's court. It doesn't fly as much as Tenergy, so control is easier. The hardness is about the same as 05 FX, maybe a touch harder. I'd recommend this to anyone who thinks 05 FX is too expensive to justify.

I used this on my forehand. Spin bites really well, which I liked. It doesn't produce that much speed, but that's good if you want to keep the ball controlled. Also, the topsheet seems durable, so I think it'll last a long time. In the short game, stops die right on the table and are very easy to control. It's also easy to hit from mid-distance, so you can feel safe even when you back up.

I used this for a month. I'll rate it by technique — this is just my personal impression.
Serve/Receive... For serves, sidespin was very easy to put a lot of spin on. Same-direction sidespin like Jun Mizutani uses in particular came out really sharp. It was also easy to add up/down variation. Pure backspin doesn't bite quite as much. Receives go in even when I return them fairly loosely. Chiquita is easy too.
Topspin drives... The firmer sheet grips the ball well and gives you the feeling of carrying it all the way to the opponent's court. When you really drive hard, the speed is incredible. Spin bites a ton no matter how clean your contact is. Loop drives were unbeatable, spinning even more than Tenergy 05 FX. Topspin rallies are no problem either.
Short game techniques... Flicks, chiquitas, stops — all of it is easy. Nothing to complain about. Pushes floated up a little.
That's it. Very easy to use, and I'd recommend it for an intermediate player's forehand.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Tenari (Experience: ２〜３ years) A rubber I'd recommend for beginner/intermediate forehands

I used this on my forehand. As you'd expect from a 45-degree rubber, spin is very easy to generate. Speed isn't that high, but the trajectory arcs really high so it's stable. Hitting against backspin is very consistent thanks to that high arc. I think a blade with a softer feel works better with this rubber's characteristics and gives more stability. The downside is that stops tend to pop up. I'd recommend this to players who rely on consistency and spin, like loop drives.

This rubber has strong spin! Since the sponge is on the softer side, loop-style topspin drives are easy to control, and you can curve the ball quite a bit if you try. However, drives from away from the table feel a bit lacking in speed. So this is perfect for players who like to attack from close to mid-distance, using drives and hitting off the opponent's backspin. Overall, everything is easy to do with this rubber. If you want strong spin on your drives and serves, definitely give it a try.

I use this on my backhand.
The sheet is hard relative to the sponge hardness, so the feel is quite firm.
Stops and pushes don't pop up and hold their spin well.
