Potchiron (Experience: 2〜3 years) Easy to use

      Reviews by user

      A really easy-to-use rubber.
It has no bad habits at all, and everything lands well no matter what you do.
I think it's good for the forehand of players who don't have much power, and just a normal choice for the backhand.

Absolutely both sides the same man (Experience: 4〜5 years) Good balance

      Reviews by user

Above all, the 80 has a great balance of spin and speed. And since the control has gone up, it's really easy to use. Works great on both sides.

Kochiya (Experience: 6〜10 years) Suited for backhand

      Reviews by user

I'm using it on both sides. On the backhand, drives and hard hits go in just fine, but the forehand drive, while not bad, is a bit weaker compared to the backhand. That said, it's not like it's hard to use. If anything, I'd say it suits the backhand better.

Can-free Kaoru (Experience: 6〜10 years) Easy to chiquita

      Reviews by user

I have it on my backhand. Since the rubber is so soft, chiquita and topspin drives are easy to do. The power on hard hits is pretty strong too. Blocks and counters land well too. Tenergy 80 is a rubber with a good balance of spin and speed, and with the FX, control has gone up even more, plus you can really sink the ball into the sponge when you hit, so it's easy to use.

Yoshihisa Suwa (Experience: 6〜10 years) Highly balanced

      Reviews by user

The sponge is softer than the regular 80, so the control is better. Also, since it's the 80, the balance between spin and speed is really good. Personally I think it suits the backhand. It's easy to hit with on the forehand too.

Matcha (Experience: 4〜5 years) Outstanding control

      Reviews by user

I used the thick version on my backhand.
      Good points
      - Easy to control
      - Easy to play the short game
      - Good spin
      Bad points
      - Expensive
      - Short lifespan
It's expensive and doesn't last long, but it was really easy to use. It's soft, so I'd recommend it for the backhand. Definitely give it a try.

      Kaolin Generally speaking

      Reviews by user

The FX series is said to be soft, but since Tenergy itself is on the harder side to begin with, this rubber only ends up being slightly soft for the forehand, so I used it on the forehand of my Def Play Senso. My impression is that compared to the regular 80, it boosts stability for chopping while dropping spin a bit, and when attacking it's the same story — more stability but less power! For us regular players, if a pro you admire uses the regular 80, instead of copying them exactly, it might be a good idea to try imitating them with this FX instead.
