Tenergy 80FX is highly regarded for its well-balanced and easy-to-use characteristics, earning support from beginners to advanced players. The soft sponge simultaneously achieves rotation and speed while enhancing control, with particular praise for its stability on the backhand side and ease of play on short balls. However, some users point out insufficient power on the forehand side, along with concerns about high price and short durability.

Yutchi @ cut Not that different from 80?

      Reviews by user

Honestly, I didn't feel like it was all that different from the 80.
The control is definitely better, but the spin is still just as high and it's still fast, so I think this is for 80 users who want just a bit more stability.
Out of the regular Tenergy lineup, it felt like a slightly harder version of the 64.
If you want to try Tenergy, this is a great rubber with no bad habits!

Castella radio (Experience: 2〜3 years) Easy to control (´▽`)

      Reviews by user

Compared to Tenergy 80, this one is easier to control (^^)/~~~
I put it on my forehand, but it's actually easier to use on the backhand (゚◇゚) gah
So use it on the backhand then? My backhand's long pips though (^^;)
      Anyway, silly talk aside,
this one sits right in the middle of the Tenergy lineup.
Like I said, it's easy to control, and both drives and smashes land one after another.
I wouldn't recommend switching straight from Tenergy 64 or 05 to the 80.
It's great for the backhand, but
apparently putting the 64 max thickness
on the backhand is also good. φ(..) note to self

It's a shame it got more expensive,
but the spin and speed both feel great,
and true to its name, being somewhere between the 05 and the 64,
      the feel was really good.

Naonao (Experience: 4〜5 years) Just the right balance

      Reviews by user

It's a softer version of Tenergy 80 and is really easy to use.
I think it's very well suited to the backhand. On the forehand I felt it lacked a bit of power.

You can do everything from topspin drives to smashes to chops with it.

I think it's well suited to an all-round playing style.

The regular 80 isn't hard to use either, but the 80FX has even better control, and even on the backhand you can sink the ball into the sponge and get exactly the shot you want.
It's a really easy-to-use rubber with a great balance of spin, speed, and control.
