30 man (Experience: 11〜20 years) Compared to Tenergy 80

      Reviews by user

It has a medium-hardness sponge with a slightly soft sheet, giving a feel that's neither too hard nor too soft, and the ball really sits on it well. Whether you sink the ball in or brush it, the topspin drive grabs well and it's easy to produce a really heavy ball.
Personally I get an impression close to Tenergy 80 — the amount of spin is about the same, and while Tenergy 80 has a bit more bounce so it gives more [SPEED], Rasant Grip felt easier to [CONTROL] for topspin drives and the short game. The "holding" feel on contact is similar too, though Grip has a slightly stronger holding sensation. The [WEIGHT] of the rubber felt relatively lighter with Tenergy 80.
Still, it's a very well-balanced rubber at a high level without being expensive, so I think it's an easy-to-use, great rubber.

Ihohou (Experience: 6〜10 years) Rasant's notable strengths and flaws

      Reviews by user

I don't have much power, so I put this on my forehand. My blade is the VICTAS Fire Fall AC. The first thing that surprised me about this rubber is the spin. The topspin drive doesn't have much speed, but when you loop it, it grabs like crazy. It's also really easy to smash a long serve or do a chori-dora with it. Control is great too. But because it grips the ball so well, it also picks up a lot of the opponent's spin, which makes blocking hard and makes it tough to stop counters, pushes, and stops. Also, since it's soft, serves tend to run long. If you smash too hard, the ball bounces off and flies away. So I'd recommend using this rubber on the backhand.

Table Tennis Pis (Experience: Less than a year) The best

      Reviews by user

I've only been playing table tennis for 9 months, but this rubber is great and really easy to use. I put the Wagokuso on my forehand since it makes looping topspin drives easy. If you get that sinking-into-the-sponge feel, it's an amazing combo. You can do topspin rallies too, and countering close to the table is easy. So far there's nothing I've found hard to use. It might even be stable enough to put on both sides.

I switched to this rubber from Power Grip, so I'd like to compare the two.
First, the weight. Weight was actually the reason I switched, so I have no complaints there.
The feel of the ball seems a little lighter, but it's very easy to keep the ball in play, spin comes easily, and the spin stays consistent. In terms of maximum spin, Power Grip wins out across serves, drives, and chops. The arc on drives is lower with Grip, while the trajectory on chops and pushes is lower and more aggressive with Power Grip. My take is: Grip for consistency, Power Grip for aggressive play. Also, after I used rubber cleaner on it, the rubber got nice and shiny, but the grip weakened (sob).

A! R (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use!

      Reviews by user

I put this on my backhand, and it's incredibly easy to control. The sponge has large air bubbles, so you get a real sense of grabbing the ball, and the feel is soft.

Controlling short pushes and stops is really easy. With chiquita and miyuta, you get a real sense of hooking the ball onto the rubber and flicking it out.

That said, the speed isn't too slow either — swing hard and you get plenty of power. The amount of spin is fairly consistent whether you brush the ball or hit-and-brush it, so it's stable.

Counters and the like are easy to pull off, but lobbing and chopping were a bit harder, so I'd recommend this for a more aggressive playing style!
Since it grips the ball so strongly, I think players who pair it with special/tacky rubber on the other side could play even more aggressively with this.

I use Grip on my forehand and Power Grip on my backhand. This rubber is especially recommended for players who use a lot of drives and counters. It's also easy to put spin on your serves. In Tenergy terms, it's close to the 05.

Of all the tension rubbers I've tried, this was the easiest to use. Drives and counters in particular are easy to return. The green sponge looks cool too.
