Excellent Speed and Control Fastarc S1 is a soft version in Fastarc family/ The increase of control slightly reduces the speed, but the power is maintained. This rubber is recommended to the wide range of players from the beginners to the top players.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This speed-oriented tension rubber is highly praised for its excellent performance in flat hitting and smashing. However, its low spin capacity and difficulty in skill development are commonly cited challenges.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Produces high speed even with light contact
    • Extremely easy to execute flat hits and smashes
    • Strong defensive capabilities with easy blocking and countering
    • Difficult to generate spin, challenging for counter-topspin
    • Best for beginners and backhand, optimal for front-court attacking
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpeed is generated even with light strokes, and the exhilaration of smashing is unparalleled. Flat hitting is easy to execute, and blocking and countering enter effortlessly, making it ideal for those wanting to try high-tension rubber.
▽ CriticalSpin is difficult to apply, and counter-topspin is nearly impossible. Control is necessary, and in tense matches, overruns are easily committed. It struggles against sticky rubber opponents.

Industrial high school table tennis girls (Experience: 4〜5 years) A control rubber with outstanding destructive power!

      Reviews by user

I had max thickness on both sides. On the backhand, it feels like you sink the ball into the sponge when you hit. The smash has almost refreshingly overwhelming power — the destructive force is outstanding. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to try a high-tension rubber.

The speed on light touches is amazing. But when hitting hard, I feel a bit of energy loss.

I think this is good for players who face choppers.
When a chance ball comes, the smash is effective.

Teenagers (Experience: 6〜10 years) Great for smashing

      Reviews by user

Personally, I felt the performance is similar to the Extend HS.
I personally prefer the feel of the Extend, but both are hard to be affected by incoming spin and produce high speed.
Compared to the Extend, this one has more grip on the ball and more spin, so it might suit modern playing styles better.

I'd recommend it for a shakehand backhand or a reverse penhold backhand that relies heavily on meaty hits!

Novice kid (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy-to-use backhand rubber

      Reviews by user

I used thick on one side and medium on the other. It's a speed-oriented tension rubber. Spin is decent and control isn't bad either.
On the forehand I feel a bit of power loss, so it seems like the backhand can make better use of its performance.
Backhand drives come out fast with plenty of spin. You get more speed by hitting in a way that sinks the ball into the sponge.
Within the Fastarc line, the S-1 is cheap and easy to get your hands on,
so it's a great rubber that I'd want everyone to try at least once!

      Black Storm Flat-hit type

      Reviews by user

I used it on the backhand. Within the Fastarc series, the S model feels like a completely different rubber.
The topsheet is soft so the ball sinks in, but the amount of spin is lacking.
Rather than topspin drives, it's better used for meaty shots that take advantage of the speed and the low sensitivity to incoming spin.
Maybe because the topsheet is soft, blocking isn't very stable.
The price is cheap too, so I think it offers good value for money.

Nitaka people (Experience: 4〜5 years) Truly Nittaku's savior!!

      Reviews by user

Everyone in my table tennis club tells me to put it on the backhand, but I think it should go on the forehand. I use max thickness, and that feeling of the ball sinking into the sponge on serves and drives is the best. Plus the spin is outstanding — a real lifesaver!
