The topsheet is a bit softer than Spectol, so spin feels easier to put on the ball.
The sponge also has good elasticity while feeling somewhat softer than Spectol (though not as soft as the 21).It holds the ball well, spin feels easy to generate, and blocking is outstandingly consistent.
Even hitting hard, there's no sense of the ball sliding off, so you can keep hitting away with confidence.
That said, compared to Spectol as a baseline, knuckle balls feel a bit harder to produce.
You can still produce them easily if you try, but this isn't a rubber where blocks naturally come out with a nasty, unpredictable quality.
It used to be standard to apply speed glue to this and get it flying and spinning like crazy,
but without glue, it's a completely balanced type of rubber.It suits short-pips beginners, or short-pips users who prioritize consistency.

The price and track record are more than satisfactory.
That said, I can't really recommend it if you're looking for offensive power.
A non-tension short-pips rubber that doesn't produce much variation is, as you'd expect, tough to attack with.
It's still okay if you put it on your backhand to create variation against your inverted rubber, though.
For better or worse, it's a rubber for "beginners."

It feels like something in between a spin-type and a variation-type pips rubber.
The description that fits best is a Spectol S1 with less variation but easier spin.
Because of that, attacking - even switching over to your inverted side - comes with less stress.
For pushes and chops you do need to consciously produce a knuckle ball to get variation, but
it's perfect for practicing how to create variation.
The sponge is also soft, so it's easy to keep the ball under control, which is good too.
Overall it's easy to use and reasonably priced, so I think it's a good starter short-pips rubber for anyone getting into chopping.
After using this, you can decide whether spin-type, variation-type, or long pips suits you better.
One thing that bothered me a little is that the spot where you grip your finger tends to turn white.*Addendum
Compared to the normal original, the pips seem bigger and more densely packed.

I bought it because it was on sale.
Honestly, I don't think it really fits today's game.
It doesn't take much spin, the speed is just okay, and it doesn't have much bounce.
If anything, it might suit someone with a short, compact swing who values control.

Used on the backhand for chopping.
It's easy to produce both knuckle chops and heavily spun chops, and it's also easy to attack with. On top of that, it's economical.

This was the first short-pips rubber I've ever used in my life, but it's easy to handle and the ball just pops off nicely. It doesn't have much quirk to it and was fun to use.

An all-round short-pips rubber that lets you combine both defense and offense. If a chopper puts it on the backhand, they can hold back hard shots with backhand chops, and finish off a stopped ball with a backhand smash without needing to flip the racket.
