HEXER rubbers have been well received by many players all over the world. This is why we bundled all the positive “HEXER characteristics” to put it into HEXER Pips! The first pimple-out rubber by andro that bases on a fourth generation TENSOR sponge.
The rubber mixture of 100% natural rubber serves HEXER Pips with a high durability and long lasting stability, while the soft sponge keeps speed and control on an exquisite level.
Moreover HEXER Pips is a highlight on the pimple-out rubber segment as it combines two different geometries in one rubber! We call it ECLECTIC PERFORMANCE, as the user can choose between a lengthwise and a crosswise geometry.
Well, which one are you going to choose!?

Sawakai (Experience: 11〜20 years) Strong against topspin

      Reviews by user

I used the max thickness version.

For a tension rubber it doesn't feel slippery, and I felt it's relatively less affected by humidity.
Because of that, it's easy to put spin on drives, and I could hit stable smashes.

The knuckle effect is also just right, and it's easy to add variation.

That said, maybe it's the combination with my blade, but hitting against backspin at the right angle feels quite demanding.
Also, it was a bit heavier than I expected for short pips. There might be some variation between individual sheets.

one (Experience: 4〜5 years) Great spin for a pips-out, holds the ball well

      Reviews by user

I'm using this with horizontal pips.
Since I'd been using Morrist SP, this is a comparison against that.
When you brush the ball against the rubber, Hexer Pips grips better. When blocking a topspin ball on this side, you need to close the racket angle more than with Morrist SP or it turns into a home run. With Morrist SP, closing the angle too much catches it in the net.
Flipping to the forehand, a strong smash-like flick receive against backspin lands really well over the table. It might also depend on the blade pairing, but the ball holds well, and rather than the crisp snap feel of angle hitting, it feels more like a light swing that sticks the ball to the rubber and lifts it up.
This is purely my personal impression, but compared to Morrist SP, it doesn't feel as sensitive to the exact blade angle, and it feels easier to hit overall. That said, it's not as sensitive to spin as inverted rubber, so I found it easy to receive sharply cut backspin and sidespin-backspin serves.

Lucky (Experience: 6〜10 years) My personal best short pips

      Reviews by user

I used the thick version with horizontal pips.
You can hit with a feel close to inverted rubber, while still getting balls typical of short pips.
I wasn't looking for big knuckle effects or drastic variation, just a slight difference in ball quality, so this rubber was a perfect fit for me.
I think Booster SA and Morrist SP are similar, but what's good about Hexer Pips is that you can choose between horizontal and vertical pips yourself.

      Kaolin Pretty famous, right?

      Reviews by user

This Hexer is one of the rare rubbers that's customizable, in the sense that you can choose the sheet grain direction yourself - vertical or horizontal. If you want more variation, go vertical; if stability is the priority, go horizontal - you can adjust it to your own playing style, which gives this rubber a lot of character!
