corner home run (Experience: 6〜10 years) Better than Rasanter up to intermediate level Verified Purchase

I've repurchased this many times.
To cut to the conclusion, it's the best rubber in this price range. Rozena and Vega are its main rivals, but this one is a couple of levels ahead in spin and grip.
As for speed, Rozena is easier to generate speed with, while this one (Hexer Grip) has the higher ceiling.
Compared to the Vega series, I felt it comes out on top overall against everything except Vega X (setting aside niche ones like Def or China).
Even against Vega X, it beats it on spin, though I'd give the edge to Vega X on raw power.
The ball sinks in easily, the grip on the ball is strong, and it makes a solid, satisfying sound, so I can't really find a real weakness.
You can also choose from four hardness options, which is nice because you can pick based on whether you want to prioritize maximum performance or ease of use.For beginner to intermediate players, I think using the Hexer series instead of the Rasanter R series would reduce mistakes and make it easier to win.

The grip on the ball is really great. The performance is beyond what the price suggests. You get more spin than expected on serves, drives, and short game shots alike. The ball also sinks into the sponge nicely, so you can hit stable drives. The speed isn't that fast, but in exchange you get balls with a lot of spin, so for beginners and intermediate players, I'd recommend Hexer Grip over spending a lot of money on some other rubber.

The Battle of Minoshima! Nothing to complain about

Spin, speed, and a good moderate level of forgiveness — the overall balance feels great.
It's positioned as a step-up rubber, but honestly you could stick with just this.
Especially if you put it on the backhand side, the balance it gives should make your play more stable.
My impression was that it works well with pretty much any blade.

Masato Tanaka 00 A high-end rubber!?

The feel when hitting wasn't much different from a high-end rubber.
Both the bounce and the spin performance were good, I didn't feel like I was overshooting, and it had that modern spin-oriented tension-rubber feel.
I'd guess that unless you're aiming for the national tournament level, this rubber should serve you well.
I repurchased it myself.

Compared to my own feel, this rubber has slightly less absolute spin and a slightly higher maximum bounce than I expected. Because of that, it's a handy rubber for visually understanding the "flat contact, over the table" overshoot mistakes that beginners and intermediate players often make.
If you overshoot with this rubber, it means you made too flat a contact and didn't get enough spin on the ball; if you net it, it means you didn't hit the racket solidly enough to get full spin. It doesn't produce amazing shots, but it's an honest rubber that clearly shows the benefit of building rallies. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Rubber Sommelier (Experience: 2〜3 years) Max stability... too much

I heard chiquita was easy to do with this, so I switched from Rozena. Rozena is already plenty good for chiquita, but the chiquita on this rubber is amazing. It puts a lot of sidespin on the ball and makes it easy to lift. However, the ball-holding is almost too good — which is great, of course, since it lets me drive steadily against backspin and aim for placement with strong spin. But it's tough to chiquita against upper-spin serves. With Rozena I could still pull off the speed-oriented version (closing the racket angle and swinging hard against a topspin serve), but with my skill level, doing that with this rubber's speed is basically impossible (´;ω;`) Well, it has plenty of upsides, and even against topspin, it's just a matter of sacrificing some speed, so it's fine!

It's decent. It's perfect for when you're just starting out, but as I got better I noticed other rubbers became easier to use too. I'd say it's a good first purchase when you're starting table tennis.
