X’s F1-21 is a high friction rubber with an elastic sponge. This combination produces great touch shots and creates power with consistency for allround play. Also, it will give you more feeling for the ball for serving, receiving serves, pushing, counter attacks and smash shots.

Using the medium sponge for chopping. It doesn't bounce and doesn't have much speed, so you can grind out chops really well. The spin is decent, but the ball tends to come out predictable and easy to read, so unless you're careful about the height and depth of your returns, I think your opponent will find it easy to attack. As for offense, I think it's tough going. Since it lacks speed, forehand smashes rarely become a finishing shot. If a chopper is going to use it, I think it works best on the backhand for a chopper running inverted rubber on both sides.
If you're using an attacking blade, I'd recommend it for the backhand side. If you use your backhand mainly for rallying or defense, the low bounce makes receiving, blocking, and stopping easy, so I think it's a good rubber for that.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This was 13 years ago, but I used it on my backhand. It's a rubber where the ball sinks in and then launches. It doesn't give you much speed, and it doesn't put much spin on the ball either, but for learning your swing, a rubber this soft and slow might actually be good. Also, if you're playing close to the table, pairing it with a carbon blade gives you plenty of speed.

Compared to rubbers with a similar speed rating like 730-21 or Triple Spin, this one bounces way more.
This was back in the celluloid ball era, so I'm not sure how it performs with today's plastic balls, but you can play fast rallies with it.
Spin and control are both excellent too, so attacking players can use it without any issues. That said, if you're not used to high-bounce rubbers, you might send the ball long if you're not careful.

I put it on a 5-ply blade and had a friend try it out too.
Our first impression, both of us, was
"it doesn't fly as much as expected."
If you hit it normally it doesn't go far, but if you hit it harder,
it flies quite a bit — a pretty unique rubber like that.
This is probably due to the 21 sponge, so if you want a rubber with no quirks, I think the regular Xiom would be better.

The control is excellent.
The spin and speed are inferior to today's tension and Hybrid Energy type rubbers, but it's a rubber that makes it easy to hit exactly where you're aiming.

I used this quite a while ago.
Compared to today's tension rubbers, the speed and spin are definitely inferior.
It doesn't just spin the ball on its own. It doesn't bounce on its own either.
However, it's not easily affected by an opponent's hard shots, and unlike Chinese rubber you don't have to obviously change your stroke to use it.
I'd put it in the classic rubber category, but depending on the blade you pair it with, the sponge thickness, and how you use it, it can still shine.
For people whose strokes have gotten sloppy from relying too much on the rubber, people who want to go back and re-examine the basics, or people stuck in a slump — I think this rubber can make you realize something.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Kaolin A chopper's perspective

From a chopper's point of view: compared to attacking rubbers, it has hopelessly little bounce, but that's exactly why it's so easy to keep chops under control and add variation to your chops and pushes - it's a step above other rubbers in that regard. It's a chopper's rubber with more bounce than dedicated chop rubbers, but less bounce than attacking rubbers!
