The rubber is praised for its excellent control and user-friendly characteristics, ideal for beginners, while many point out insufficient speed and spin performance. Some advanced users successfully utilize it, making its value dependent on application.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Superior control performance ideal for learning fundamentals
    • Limited speed capability with weaker offensive power
    • Soft and responsive texture makes spin easy to apply
    • Excellent value for money with relatively long durability
    • Versatile for beginner to intermediate players
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositivePerfect rubber for beginners—very affordable with solid performance. Outstanding control and good spin generation make it ideal for learning basic techniques.

Uppee! Person of (Experience: 4〜5 years) The ultimate beginner's rubber

      Reviews by user

Everyone says this rubber is for beginners, but honestly, intermediate and advanced players can use it too lol
If you let the ball sink in, you get spin, and you can put spin on serves too, so your third-ball attack really smacks lol
Plus, it doesn't fly off too much, so you can really go for it in topspin rallies too lol, it's amazing~
I'm in high school right now, and it holds up totally fine against other high schoolers' shots lol
By the way, I have Grandy on both sides lol
Backhand drives and chiquitas are effortless too lol
      There is one downside though.
That's that there's a limit to the speed.
But well, you can just push through with spin, so I think it's fine lol
Anyway, beginner rubbers aren't something to write off lol
If you're stuck on what equipment to use, definitely give it a try lol
Though it probably depends on the person, so I can't guarantee anything lol

Grandy (Experience: 2〜3 years) Rubber for beginners

      Reviews by user

I used this rubber and loved it for three years.
The spin is decent, and control and speed depend on the player, but personally, I think they're good.

Girlfriend (Experience: 2〜3 years) Great dwell!!!!

      Reviews by user

It's soft and grips the ball well, so you get good spin on your shots. On the forehand it's too soft and shots tend to drop short. On the backhand, though, you get some really good balls — enough to beat someone using Rozena without much trouble. Other techniques are easy too, and there's really no notable weakness. It's plenty good enough for prefectural-tournament level, the qualifiers for it, or the finals of a city tournament. (Though I lost, personally.) The lifespan is good too, lasting more than half a year — a great rubber!!!!!!!!!!!!

Table tennis boy (Experience: 2〜3 years) Isn't this basically Grandy?

      Reviews by user

(Koma) My mom apparently forgot the name of her rubber. According to her, it's suspiciously cheap.
(Uchi) That's gotta be the Grandy! That's the Grandy's whole thing. Isn't there anything else about it?
(Koma) She says she gets a little nervous when she uses it.
(Uchi) Then maybe it's not the Grandy after all. Because even when you switch to a new Grandy, it always feels the same as the old one.
(Koma) But she says using it always brings her back to that beginner's feeling.
(Uchi) Then it's gotta be the Grandy! It's no exaggeration to call that the rubber that brings you back to being a beginner.
(Koma) I thought so too, but according to her, it's not the Grandy.
(Uchi) Then it's NOT the Grandy after all! What did you think I was talking about this whole time?!
(Koma) Yeah, sorry about that. According to my dad, mom's just lying.
(Uchi) No, it's the Grandy. Thanks very much, everyone.
      TSP's rubbers really are deep!

Table tennis daisuki (Experience: Less than a year) Pretty good rubber

      Reviews by user

This was my second rubber ever since starting table tennis.
Control is outstanding, and it grips the ball well for spin, so I recommend it.
That said, the speed feels lacking compared to high-bounce rubbers.
But the spin, control, and short game are all pretty much beyond complaint, so I recommend it.
