      When I wrote a review before, I was using a Clipper Wood CR WRB blade. Back then it flew way too much, and I thought it just wasn't for me.
      But once I switched my blade to an Infinity VPS, it turned out amazing! A thinner all-wood blade might get the bounce just right. I went with 2.0 this time, and that gives just the right bounce along with good spin. I used to use a tacky tension rubber, and this (the 50) is perfect for transitioning away from a tacky rubber.

      Thickness is Ultra Max. I test-hit it on my Fortius FT this time... and just like I expected, it's heavy lol

      When I hit it lightly, thanks to the thick sponge, the ball came off really fast. But it's so hard that basically no spin gets on it at all!

      When I swung at high speed, both the speed and spin were great. But if my swing was even slightly slow, it turned into a knuckle ball like you'd get from short pips.

      Blocking is easy since it's not affected much by the opponent's spin, but I didn't get a great feel from countering with it.
      Because it's hard and fast, if you don't get the angle exactly right, the ball flies way off.

      The short game wasn't a great feel either. Because the sponge is thick and hard, stops and pushes tend to overshoot or don't get much bite on them at all, making the short game tough.

      To sum up, this rubber is for advanced players with real physical strength. I don't have much power myself so it really didn't suit me, but if you have swing speed and can get into topspin rallies, I think this rubber would work well for you.

      I've been using Tenergy 80 in the extra-thick version, and because of the price I decided to try this one on my forehand instead (the thickest version). My impression is that the moment you hit the ball, it just flies off on its own. It's hard to actively put spin on the drive yourself, but the ball still carries a good amount of spin regardless. The trajectory is straight, so for players who close the racket face when driving, the ball tends to dip down, which I imagine makes it hard to hit. Also, for the short game and blocking, if you just tap the ball lightly, you get surprisingly good returns. As I mentioned in the title, if you hit it more like a flat/meeting shot, you get a low, sharp, really fast ball. Personally, I think this rubber is a perfect match for close-to-the-table fast-attack players.

      It's not rock hard — the kind of hardness where, when you hear "50 degrees," you go "hmm, really?" It's softer than you'd expect, so the speed is there, and of course the spin capability is pretty high too.

      It's on the hard side and the ball really flies, but since it's a spin rubber, it's easy to hit speed drives with it. The grip on the ball is also good, so serves go in cleanly.

      It's a bit harder than Rasanter R47, has good grip on the ball, and takes spin well. It's obviously suited for players who want power and spin on their drives. But since it really emphasizes spin, it's also a perfect fit for all-rounders who block and chop, since pushes get good backspin on them too.
