      It's an entry-level tension rubber, so it's easy to put spin on.
      The rubber is also soft, so even a light hit sinks in nicely and generates speed.
      You can still control it well during fast rallies, so it's very easy to use even under the pressure of a tournament.

      I'd say this one's control-focused. It doesn't have much bounce either, so it's easy to use. A real all-round rubber.

      The bounce is toned down. It's easier to use on defense than offense. It's also easy to put spin on, so if you want to improve your serve precision, it's worth trying.

      I tested combinations of T45 and GF-R glued onto a Swat and a Black Balsa 7. It was hard to compare them side by side, but Black won out thanks to how quickly you could switch to the backhand. It seemed like T48 might work on the forehand too, so as a test I put T45 on both sides, and... whoa. Control suffered and I couldn't swing full force anymore. I tried GF-R on both sides of the Swat instead, and that gave me the best control, letting me swing all out with confidence.

      My rule for picking a rubber is whether it consistently lands in the opponent's court when I swing at 80%+ of full power. Even with a soft sponge, if you can swing through it, you'll get plenty of speed and spin. It's light, so definitely go max thickness — a thin sponge lets the blade's character come through too much and makes it harder to control.

      Next I think I'll try testing T40.
