  Yutchi @ cut Most spin in the Booster series

  

  This has the most spin in the Booster lineup. It keeps that nasty knuckle-ball effect unique to short pips while still being quite easy to put spin on and stable, so I'd recommend it to beginner to intermediate short-pips users!

  ブースターシリーズで最多回転量です。表ソフト特有のいやらしいナックルを残しつつもかなり回転がかけやすく安定するので初中級者の表ソフトユーザーにおすすめです！

  Nyanko-sensei (Experience: More than ２０ years) A jack-of-all-trades rubber

  

  It was advertised as something that could both generate spin and produce knuckle balls — basically do it all — so I went ahead and tried it.
  My impressions after some test hits:
  1) The shots land shallow! (Maybe I should have gone with thick instead of medium)
  2) It doesn't produce much of a knuckle effect (after bouncing on the opponent's side, the knuckle ball turns into a slight topspin ball — in other words, an easy ball for the opponent)
  3) The ball feels light (my practice partner said it lacks the heavy, wobbly ball you usually get from short pips)
  4) The ball quality is too clean, so there isn't much nastiness to it (compared to Morristo SP)
  The next day, I went back to Morristo SP.
  I felt it wasn't well suited to the forehand of a penhold short-pips setup.

  回転もかけられて、ナックルも出る何でもできそうなウリだったので、早速、使用してみました。
  試し打ちしての感想は
  ①打球が浅い！(中ではなく厚にするんだったかな)
  ②ナックルがあまりでない(相手のコートにバウンド後、ナックル性から微上回転になる→すなわち相手の絶好球)
  ③球が軽い(表ソフト特有の重いブレ球が少ないとの練習相手の印象です)
  ④球質がきれいすぎて、嫌らしさがあまりない(モリストSPと比べて)
  翌日、モリストSPに戻しました。
  ペン表のF面には向いてないように思いました。

  Table man of back town life (Experience: More than ２０ years) Drawn in by its stability and feel

  

  When you play short pips on penhold, you start wanting to strategically pick a rubber that lets you both loop and produce knuckle balls.
  I've gone through balanced short-pips rubbers like Morristo SP, VO103, Rakza PO, and Impartial XB.
  Having tried this one, it matches really well with a harder blade.
  Put it on a softer blade and there's a risk your receives will get out of control.
  For short-game shots close to the table, it doesn't bounce much, so there aren't many misses going long.
  When you hit it firmly flat, you get a smash with that straight-trajectory, carrying knuckle effect typical of short pips.
  Cutting serves and pushes takes a bit of a knack, but once you get the hang of it, it bites almost as much as inverted rubber.
  It's also great value for the money.

  ペン表やってると、ドライブもナックルもできるラバーを、戦略的に選択したくなります。
  モリストSP→VO103→ラクザPO→インパーシャルXBなど、バランス型の表を使用してきました。
  このラバーを使ってみましたが、硬めのラケットとはとても相性が良い。
  軟らかいラケットに貼ると、レシーブが暴れる懸念があります。
  台上の小技や軽打では、あまり跳ばないのでオーバーミスが少ない。
  強くミートすると、直線軌道の表らしい伸びるナックル性のスマッシュが打てる。
  サーブとツッツキを切るのには、コツが要りますが、要領を得ると裏並みに切れます。
  コスパ的にも良いラバーですね。

  Table mania (Experience: １１〜２０ years) My personal favorite speed-oriented short pips

  

  I used the red, thick version as short pips on both sides of my penhold.
  This rubber has vertical-grain pips, but with large, hard pimples that don't slip much, making it easy to keep stable. I'd recommend it for speed-oriented players who struggle with stability, or spin-oriented players who want to rough the ball up just a little.
  It also has a unique, springy sponge that gives a really clear feel on contact, with a solid sense of hitting the blade (in that respect it even beats Impartial XS).
  I'd also recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of feel.
  On the other hand, I wouldn't really recommend it to players who only run short pips on one side. It's one of the most stable rubbers among speed-oriented options, but the ball still moves around more than with a spin-oriented rubber, so handling everything with just this one rubber is tough.
  If you only play pips on one side, I think a spin-oriented rubber would suit you better.

  ペン表裏で赤厚使用です。
  このラバーは縦目ながら大きな硬めの粒で滑りが少なく、安定させやすいです。スピード系ユーザーで安定しないという悩みを持っている人や、スピン系ユーザーでほんの少し球を荒れさせたいという人におすすめです。
  また、独特のふわふわスポンジで、打球感が非常にクリアであり、板に当たる感触がしっかりあります（この感触に関してはインパーシャルXSよりも上でした）。そういう打球感を求めている人にもおすすめです。
  反対に、あまりお勧めしないのは、片面だけのペン表の人です。スピード系の中では安定性トップクラスですけど、さすがにスピン系よりは球が暴れますので、このラバーですべてをこなすのは難しそうです。
  片面の人ならば、このラバーではなく、スピン系のほうがよいかと思います。

  Table tennis enthusiast (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Why isn't this more popular,

  

  First of all, the good thing about this rubber is that it's well balanced.
  As people say, it's somewhere between SA and EV — it spins reasonably well and isn't overly affected by the opponent's spin either. Everything is reasonably easy to do!
  But the downside is that nothing about it really stands out.
  SA is known for spin, EV for its snap and knuckle balls. This rubber doesn't excel at any one thing, so unless you're conscious of your own strengths, you can end up as a player without any real characteristics.
  If you already have your own style figured out and just want to become a more consistent player, this is a great rubber for you!

  まず、このラバーの良いところはバランスがいいことです
  SAとEVの中間と言われるように、回転もそこそこ、回転の影響も受け過ぎないです。全てがそこそこやり易いです！
  ですがそれによって秀でたものがないということが欠点です。
  SAなら回転、EVは弾き、ナックルが売りです。特別抜けているものがないので、何かしら自分の得意を意識しないと特徴のない選手になってしまいます。
  自分の戦い方というのが纏まった上で、安定した選手になりたい。という方にはもってこいの良ラバーです！

  Yakitori-kun (Experience: １１〜２０ years) A tension short-pips that can really do it all

  

  Used the black, thick version as short pips on my penhold.
  It's such a well-balanced rubber that I feel like there's nothing it can't do. Since a penhold short-pips player has to do everything with one rubber, this is a great choice.

  The sponge has good backbone and just the right amount of hardness. It's strong enough that you don't get pushed back, but it still lets the ball sink in a bit. Shots don't fly off on their own, and hard hits give you a nice, powerful ball.
  The pips are a standard cylinder-plus-cone shape with fine, well-formed fabric marks. They don't slip easily and can produce knuckle balls too.

  That's all high praise, but I keep switching back and forth between Booster HP and Hexer Pips Force.
  The reason is that Hexer Pips Force is easier to counter with. But its sponge is hard and makes looping difficult, so I stray over to Booster HP, which lets me loop properly — and then I think "looping is great, but when I counter I get pushed back just a tiny bit..." and switch back again.

  Still, I'd definitely recommend it if you want an all-around, aggressive short-pips rubber.

  ペン表として黒・厚を使用。
  出来ない技術はないのでは？と思う程、バランスの良いラバー。一枚で全てをこなさないといけないペン表にはいいラバーでしょう。

  スポンジはコシがあり程よく硬め。押し負けない強さがあり、食い込ませることも出来るスポンジ。勝手にぶっ飛ぶことはなく、強打はパワーボールが出る。
  シートはオーソドックスな円柱＋台形で布目は細かくしっかりついている。スリップしにくくナックルも出せる粒。

  ここまでべた褒めだが、ブースターHPを使ってはヘキサーピップスフォースに戻すを繰り返している。
  理由はカウンターのしやすさがヘキサーピップスフォースの方が勝るから。しかしスポンジが硬くドライブがしにくいので、ドライブもがっつり出来るブースターHPに浮気して、「ドライブはいいけどカウンターの際に、ほんの少し！押し負けるなぁ…」の繰り返し。

  でも表に攻撃的な万能感を求める方にかなりオススメです。
