This is one of the rubbers you could call a representative of tension-type short pips, alongside Moristo SP.AX, Impartial XS, and VO102. I'd recommend it to anyone who's been using inverted on both sides and is thinking about switching to short pips. Since it's a tension-type rubber, you should adjust quickly even coming from inverted. The rubbers I listed above differ a bit, price included, though honestly most people probably can't tell the difference. There's a big gap in price though: Moristo runs about 6600 yen, Impartial about 5500 yen, the 102 about 5000 yen, and Booster SA is around 4000 yen — with a discount you might even snag it for 2500 yen. It's cheap and high-performing, a fantastic rubber. It's really sad that it's been discontinued.

I tried this with an Aqua Blade and a Segna, both penhold blades.
It has a horizontal grain, so grazing the ball gives you spin, but hitting it flat (with an angled paddle face) also feels good. Serves get plenty of spin too.
For low balls, hitting with about 80% flat contact and 20% graze gave me consistent, good shots.
Knuckle balls don't come out naturally, so you have to produce them deliberately.
It grips the ball well and is easy to handle, so if someone's switching over from inverted rubber, this would be the first rubber I'd recommend.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I heard it was cheap but high-performing, so I gave it a try...
First off, it really bounces!! So control is a little tricky at first,
but once you get used to it, you can do a lot — knuckle and spin serves, changing pace,
throwing your opponent off, and more!
Also, with penhold, if you hold the blade at 90° and push,
it seemed to naturally produce a knuckle ball.

One thing I can say for sure is that the consistency is amazing.
Drives against backspin also go in reliably.
The speed is pretty good too.
I think it's perfect for beginners or people switching over from inverted rubber.

I'm a chopper.
I started using this rubber in the spring of my second year of junior high.
Back then I was still using a tension rubber.
My chops didn't have much spin on them, and it bothered me every day.
So I decided to try a short pips rubber (Booster SA).
It was my first time using short pips, and I couldn't stop being excited.
Then the rubber arrived and I started using it.
At first I was surprised by how little it bounced. But I gradually got used to it and tried a topspin drive.
The spin I got was insane. My chops started biting just as well.
After that, my opponents kept making mistakes, either going long or into the net.
And at some point, my worries about weak spin just disappeared.
The short game and serves are easy too, and sinking drives are simple. That said, it's easily affected by incoming spin, and you don't get much distance from away from the table.
Even so, I couldn't believe such a good rubber existed.
If you're struggling to get spin, I really want you to try this. It works fine whether you're a driver or a chopper.
I'm in high school now and I'm still using this rubber. I can't go back to tension rubber anymore.
