V > 01 Stiff is another innovation of the VICTAS V > 01 premium series for ambitious players. The German-Japanese team of designers (GJ Tec) succeeded in developing an extremely spinny offensive rubber which offers the perfect balance between speed and control to variable offensive strategists. The pimple geometry which is slightly more direct compared to V > 01, as well as the maximum tension of the High Energy Tension rubber sheet of V > 01 Stiff provide for excellent energy transfer when the bat hits the ball, thus developing great speed. The open-pore, state-of-the-art 45° high-performance sponge which is slightly softer than in V > 01 provides for more control in your play (“Power & Balance concept”). With this new sponge / top rubber sheet combination, V > 01 Stiff enables extremely fast and spinny topspin strokes with an aggressive ball trajectory. Especially in mid-distance topspin rallies, the V > 01 Stiff rubber unfolds its full potential. The enormous tackiness of the High Energy Tension rubber additionally enables dangerous, variant-rich serves and magnificent control in over-the-table play.

I heard it was the Stiff version of V>15, so I went and tried it out right away at my local table tennis shop. The arc was high. Grip on the ball, rebound, everything about it performs at a high level. It's decently easy to handle too. It might be easier to get used to if you've already used something from the V> line before. It's more of a backhand rubber than a forehand one. The receive is godlike. Even with a small swing, you can lift backspin, and it also handles knuckle balls fine. I haven't practiced with it from further back, but I think it'd probably work there too. Reallllly good rubber.

My coach gave this to me when I became a chopper.
As for the blade itself, the forehand side flies well so it's easy to attack with, and the backhand flies too but has good control, so it's very easy to use.
These are my impressions from trying the inverted rubbers Mark V, Vega Asia, Glayzer 09C, and Ventus Extra,
and the pips-out rubbers Feint Long 2 and 3, Irius S, and Vertical 55.
Mark V and Vega Asia Vertical 55 are medium thickness, and Glayzer and Ventus Extra are thick.
Both Feint Longs are extra thin, and Irius S is thin.
For beginners, Vega Asia and Mark V are good on the inverted side, and Feint Long 2 or 3 on the pips side.
I don't know if my Glayzer 09C was dead, but it was hopelessly lifeless — no bounce at all.
Ventus Extra bounces quite a lot so it's hard to handle, but once you get used to it you can attack with it too, so it's two birds with one stone.
With Vertical 55 I couldn't get any spin at all, and when I did get spin the ball flew off — hopeless.
To sum up:
fine if you want to attack, not if you want to be an ironclad defensive chopper. For rubber thickness, I'd recommend thick or extra-thin.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

A really easy rubber to use. On the backhand it's godly.
Hitting against backspin especially goes in consistently.
If you really let the ball sink into the sponge, speed drives land untouchable too.
That said, on chiquitas and topspin rallies from mid-distance, sometimes the ball sinks in too much and flies off the table, so I feel that comes down to skill.
I really feel like everything goes in with this, so I recommend it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I couldn't handle V>15 Extra, so I switched to V>15 Stiff.
It's easier to get a good arc with than V>15 Extra, and my drives are more stable.Using it, there wasn't anything that stood out as amazing, but there wasn't anything that felt particularly bad either.

Since I put this on my backhand, my backhand shots have been landing a lot more. It holds up well against topspin and doesn't bounce too much, so blocking was easy. Hitting against backspin is easy too. For me, this is the best rubber out there.
