V > 01 Stiff is another innovation of the VICTAS V > 01 premium series for ambitious players. The German-Japanese team of designers (GJ Tec) succeeded in developing an extremely spinny offensive rubber which offers the perfect balance between speed and control to variable offensive strategists. The pimple geometry which is slightly more direct compared to V > 01, as well as the maximum tension of the High Energy Tension rubber sheet of V > 01 Stiff provide for excellent energy transfer when the bat hits the ball, thus developing great speed. The open-pore, state-of-the-art 45° high-performance sponge which is slightly softer than in V > 01 provides for more control in your play (“Power & Balance concept”). With this new sponge / top rubber sheet combination, V > 01 Stiff enables extremely fast and spinny topspin strokes with an aggressive ball trajectory. Especially in mid-distance topspin rallies, the V > 01 Stiff rubber unfolds its full potential. It's not easily affected by your opponent's spin, yet it puts great spin on the ball yourself. A true all-rounder that can do anything!

With Extra from the same series, it had a lot of destructive power but was hard to keep consistent. With Stiff, though, it keeps that same power while being much easier to use. According to my opponents, my topspin drive felt heavy.

This rubber sits in the middle of the V>15 series in terms of hardness.
Maybe because I got the black sheet, it feels softer than the listed hardness suggests. It makes a nice sound too, which feels good.
When you sink the ball in, it flies off on a fairly flat trajectory with a satisfying sound. On the other hand, when you brush the surface, it has a somewhat slippery feel. Trying to brush it thin takes real concentration.
The spin is just about enough - I'd call this more of a speed-oriented rubber.
If anything, it leans more toward the backhand.
Rather than an outer-special-material blade, a thicker 7-ply all-wood blade seems to work better, whether forehand or backhand. I wouldn't really recommend a thin 5-ply blade for it, though...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

I originally had V>15 Extra on my backhand, but I tried this instead.
Honestly, I found it easy to put spin on the ball.
I'm not exactly great at backhand, but once I put this on, a lot more of my shots started going in. It's strong in backhand-to-backhand rallies, but when I try to go for a finishing shot and put more power into it, I overshoot a lot.

These are my thoughts comparing it to Extra.
First off, I felt this one is a bit softer.
For attacking techniques like the topspin drive, I think Extra has more power, but this one wins on consistency.

Used on the backhand, bought 2.0mm since I don't have much power.
This will mainly be a comparison with G1.
Good points
- Great grip on the sheet.
- Easy to drive high balls.
- Medium hardness makes blocking easy too.
Bad points (things that are tricky)
- Easily affected by your opponent's spin.
- If you back off and brush the ball, you don't get much power.
- If you open the racket face and really smack it, the ball flies off way too far (maybe because the sponge has crazy rebound once it really sinks in?).
Overall
I thought it was an easy-to-use, good rubber! But maybe because it's a V>15 series rubber with crazy sponge rebound, when you hit flat and sink the ball in, if you're not careful it flies off and overshoots. So it's a rubber you need to be careful with if you want power on your chiquita, or when smashing hard from further back.
I've listed the pros and cons here, but overall this review is written on the premise that it's a high-spec, good rubber. If you're curious, definitely give it a try!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Switched over from Tenergy 64FX. The feel of the ball is easy to read. The sheet is well made and the spin is insane. Blocking, pushing, backhand topspin, and the short game are all easy to handle. It's got the best balance. The hardness is moderate with no quirks, but the quality of the ball that lands on your opponent's side is top-tier and honestly terrifying. The feeling of the sheet grabbing the ball is addictive. I didn't feel any loss of power at all - the performance was good enough to make me feel like all the rubbers I'd used before were a waste of time.
