I use a Haitang blade. You can stop the ball with a block, but I think you have to add your own variation yourself.
Pushing is really easy with this. It was also easy to add heavy backspin.
As for attacking, you can string together shots more than with other long pips rubbers. It's fun catching your opponent off guard with a meet-hit or drive when they're expecting you to block — they often mess up. I'd recommend this more for attack-minded players than defensive ones. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is a tension-type long pips rubber, but in a good way it doesn't feel too "tension-y," and it's easy to control. Other tension long pips rubbers have tremendous speed and variation, but I think that comes at the cost of control. Morristo LP, on the other hand, is a bit behind on speed and variation, but its control is as easy as a non-tension rubber.
It's OX, but I also tried chopping with it. When chopping, you can definitely feel the tension element — it has a bit more bounce than expected. The chop comes out flat and fast, and it looked hard for opponents to loop against.
I'd recommend this to choppers who want to chop more aggressively, and to close-to-the-table all-around/hitter players who want to be more attacking than a non-tension pips rubber allows, while still keeping stable long-pips play. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I think this rubber is great for people who are just starting out with long pips. All the pips featured in YouTube tutorials seem to be aimed at advanced players.
For example, you really need to use your whole body to get a good push, and there's a proper way to block against loops, so it's perfect for building up your fundamentals.
Also, if you use it in tournaments, junior high and high schoolers can place well at the district level.
I think it's a good idea to start with Moristo LP One and then move on to something like Desperado or Grass. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Yutchi @ cut A unique rubber

This is another unique OX rubber. It's not quite low-tension, but it holds the ball down really well and it bites hard! For a chop-block short, the variation is just so-so, but I think this rubber has very high spin-reversal ability. The harder your opponent spins it, the nastier the ball becomes just by staying low and blocking - if you just defend with blocks, your opponent ends up missing on their own lol. Recommended for penhold long-pips players from beginner to intermediate level!
