The rubber surface of the MX-P50 HARD version is identical to the rubber surface of the already familiar MX-P (47.5). Our professional players have already had this high-performance harder sponge available to them and due to the new generation of plastic balls, we are now making this available for all players. Our professional players have the choice between fine-pored and open-pored sponges, currently the MX-P (47.5.) is open-pored but we are now releasing the fine-pored variation, MX-P50 HARD for sale. This fine-pored version plays noticeably differently with an increased forward and direct motion.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated as an alternative to Tenergy 05 despite its hardness requiring high skill levels. The balance of speed, rotation, and control is praised, but it clearly selects its users based on technical proficiency and individual playstyle.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Comparable or superior rotation and speed to Tenergy 05 at lower cost
    • 50° hardness provides stability and power, ideal for advanced players
    • High arc on drives, versatile from power shots to net-play techniques
    • Long durability with minimal performance degradation
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositivePerfect for players who prefer harder rubbers. You can strike cleanly without worrying about the ball dropping, enabling stable play with excellent control. The long lifespan and consistent performance are particularly impressive.
▽ CriticalI switched from Tenergy 05 but was completely disappointed. All performance parameters are significantly worse in speed, rotation, service, and mid-zone play. The top spin trajectory is too flat. While the price is attractive, it's incomparable to Tenergy 05 Hard.

Long balls are normal, but even though it doesn't bounce much for the short game, once you back off the table the ball roars off really fast. I have it on my backhand — for the short game, if you hit it feeling like you're using the whole rubber surface, it stays short, and for the drive, once the ball hits the sheet it really roars.

      Used with a Chinese penhold.
The moment you hit a forehand shot, you can feel the arc rising. The hard sponge matches this top sheet well. Durability is fine too.

It has better destructive power and speed than the normal version. Personally I think the counter is better than V15 too. On the backhand it's harder to control, but it doesn't get overpowered by strong shots.

Tokai's cut man (Experience: 4〜5 years) Quite stable

      Reviews by user

The arc and grip on the ball are strong, so it's stable. The bounce is on the mild side, and the short game is easy to do too! There's no technique in particular that's hard to pull off. I think it'd be good for choppers too.
