The rubber surface of the MX-P50 HARD version is identical to the rubber surface of the already familiar MX-P (47.5). Our professional players have already had this high-performance harder sponge available to them and due to the new generation of plastic balls, we are now making this available for all players. Our professional players have the choice between fine-pored and open-pored sponges, currently the MX-P (47.5.) is open-pored but we are now releasing the fine-pored variation, MX-P50 HARD for sale. This fine-pored version plays noticeably differently with an increased forward and direct motion.

Used the Z side of an Ice Cream AZXi blade for the forehand. The backhand was VO>102 thick, for a total weight of about 170 grams.
Forehand hitting
Normal in a good way. Nothing hard to deal with.Backhand hitting
Since it's short pips on the backhand, this might not be much of a reference, but it was a bit hard, though not a problem.Forehand drive
Goes in solidly with an arc somewhere between MX-P and MX-D. For me it was just right — not too high, not too low.Backhand drive

I'd started thinking Tenergy was getting a bit pricey, so I tried this out looking for a forehand rubber to replace it.
Being 50°, the feel is on the slightly harder side, but it does sink in to some degree, so it wasn't an issue.
Personally, the feel of the ball felt close to Tenergy. Even my opponent receiving my drives apparently said something like "isn't this spinning more than your Tenergy?" lol. I definitely had the sense that I was putting solid spin on it, so that left a good impression.
Serves also cut well, and I got that same sense of really putting spin on the ball.
If you think Tenergy is great but too pricey, why not consider giving this a try?
Actually, I wanted to try the MX-D, but it was so popular that no store had it in stock, so I gave up on buying it, lol.

The height of the arc when you drive the ball is amazing‼︎ I'm really impressed with it. To be specific, compared to the regular Evolution, the speed went up,
but the good ball-holding feel when you really put spin on it is still there. And since it's on the harder side, the short game is also easy to do, and it feels like an excellent rubber that handles any technique competently. A player with high enough skill might be able to use it on the backhand too, but I couldn't manage it (lol). You do need a certain amount of skill to use it on the backhand. It bounces more than the regular Evolution, so it also suits inner blades well. I'd recommend using it on the forehand side.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Hearing it was 50 degrees, I thought it would be really hard, but it's softer than expected and sinks the ball in nicely. And it flew really well.
The drive against topspin is really good. When you time it right, you get a really nice shot.
For topspin rallies, thanks to the quality of the sheet and sponge, I was able to hold my own against the opponent's spin and fight back without losing out.
The drive against backspin had a solid sense of lift. But compared to something like Tenergy, I felt the spin was a bit weaker.
The short game also settled in nicely.
I thought this would be really good for players who hit from mid-distance or away from the table. If you catch the ball too thin, it can sometimes clip off. I think this rubber would be an option for people who find Tenergy too expensive.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm currently using this for both attack and defense, so here's my review.
I'd love for people around the same number of years playing as me to check this out. (＾ω＾) hehe
[Basic forehand/backhand rallies]
The sponge is on the hard side, so it bounces.
Feels like the ball goes in a straight line.
[Push]
Gets strong spin. That's about it.
[Attack]
- Drive
Partly because I'm not that good, but
it feels kind of straight-line. You just have to get used to it.
- Smash
It gets good speed, so against an opponent of equal or lesser level it's rarely returned.
[Defense]
- Block
Easy to do on both forehand and backhand.
Since it's a rubber that bounces once you make contact,
quite a bit of the opponent's shot speed carries through
on the return. *Just my own impression.
- Chop
Make sure you really cut it.
Close to the table, I'm a little worried about overshooting.
From mid-distance or away from the table it's quite good.
I don't worry about net misses.
[Summary]
It was excellent on both attack and defense. Personally
I'd recommend the 5-ply version.
It's said to be a "post-Tenergy" rubber, so
I'd recommend it to people who think Tenergy is too expensive.

It gets surprisingly good spin. People tend to think of it as just a fast rubber, but that's not the case at all. It's a really good rubber. Even from away from the table, you can send good shots.

I play with Tenergy 05 hard every day. After reading some good reviews about the MX-P50, I decided to try it. I'm completely disappointed. Every parameter that matters is far worse and unpredictable — speed, spin, serves, playing in the second zone... and on top of that, a fairly flat trajectory on topspin shots. The price is attractive, but this equipment doesn't compare to Tenergy 05.
