The sponge hardness is high, but since the sheet is soft, even a mishit still lands on the table. If you hit it with full force, a fast ball sinks in deep on the opponent's side of the table. Maybe thanks to the soft sheet, flat hitting is also easy even though it's a strongly tacky rubber.

This is a comparison with Hurricane NEO3 and PRO3.
Compared to NEO3, it's tackier and harder. Power and speed feel about the same.
In my case, spin is the only thing that felt stronger with the Double Extra. Weight feels slightly lighter, but about the same overall.
Compared to PRO3, the tackiness is about equal. On paper the Double Extra is listed as harder, but the feel seemed about the same.
Spin isn't much different, but power and speed are noticeably higher. It's about 7g heavier.
If you're already used to tacky rubber, I think you can just pick between NEO3 and Double Extra based on preference.
If you're moving from tension rubber and trying tacky rubber for the first time, I'd recommend the Double Extra.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

I wonder what everyone does first after buying this rubber. A lot of people probably touch it first, thinking that if it's called "strong tacky" it must feel super sticky, but even when you touch this rubber, it doesn't feel sticky at all, and by feel alone you'd think it's just a normal rubber. The next thing people probably do is try sticking a ball to it - by touch it didn't feel tacky at all, but when you actually try sticking a ball on it, it clings right on! Anyway, let's get to the main point: this rubber grips really well for spin, but it has one drawback. It's the typical tacky-rubber trait of not having much speed - because it's such a strongly tacky rubber, it really doesn't fly at all. So when using this rubber, you need to hit through the ball with real force. If you keep that in mind, it becomes easier to handle. Also, both topspin drives and hitting against backspin are easy to do, which I'm satisfied with. I felt the short game was a bit hard to do with it.

Since it's tacky, spin comes naturally, goes without saying. If you initiate the point yourself, the speed is a bit lacking, but for things like smashes it's more than enough. (I'd recommend it to playing styles that grind it out like a chopper and then smash a chance ball that's gone soft.) I get why Matsushita uses it.

Genba Onko Sticky Journey, Part 1

I decided I wanted to play table tennis with tacky rubber and have been trying out various ones — this is my first one (or my "zeroth," since I was originally a Turbo Blue user).
The feel on contact is very close to Turbo Blue, with even more tack than Turbo Blue on top of that. That was my first impression.
It's also a bit lighter than Turbo Blue, and the feedback/vibration you feel in your hand is just slightly weaker, but not enough to bother me.
Even when hitting light forehand shots, it puts a good amount of topspin on the ball, which is a huge help.
As for downsides, it comes down to two things: it doesn't produce much in the way of tricky/erratic balls, and the tackiness wears off easily.
Practicing four times a week, after about two months I stop feeling any tackiness, so it needs re-gluing more often than Turbo Blue, which is a bit disappointing.
Also, rather than "it doesn't produce tricky balls," it's more that with Turbo Blue the ball quality changes a lot depending on how you make contact, whereas Double Extra flies pretty predictably in comparison — so that's a trade-off either way.

I think you need to hit it with a bit of contact/touch.
It gets a decent amount of spin.
