As a chopper, I've had my eye on this new Spinpips, but it seems like the Red version is the one that's actually suited to choppers. It's a bit too hard, so it's tough to keep chops under control... My guess is that the Blue is positioned like the normal Chop Sponge, and the Red is more like a Chop Sponge 2!

I figured this occupied the position of a variation-type short pips rubber, but it's not as easy to use as regular short pips. It's basically short pips, but it looks like long pips! If you can master it, you can produce nasty, fast-paced shots, so if you're interested, give it a try.

This is a pretty soft, flexible chopping rubber. Rather than pairing it with a flexible or soft chopping blade — even though the ball-holding is good on those — you'll get the most out of it on a somewhat firmer, more lively blade like the Joo Se-Hyuk. It lets you send back really well-cut chops consistently, so it's great for players who build their game around chopping!

This rubber keeps the overwhelming spin of the Tenergy 05 while becoming easier to use. I think it works fine on either the forehand or backhand, but if I think about it in terms of players who can really make the most of the regular Tenergy on the forehand, then this one is probably better suited to the backhand. That said, I do think beginner to intermediate players are better off using the FX rather than stretching to use the regular version. Highly recommended for players whose game is built around spin!

This is a popular rubber among choppers too, used by top players like Ayuka Tanioka and Kentaro Miuchi. Even though it's paired with a non-bouncy defensive blade like the Defplay Senso, the attacking shots still carry tremendous power. As for chopping, you can rip really sharp cuts that carry a lot of distance, so it stays stable even played away from the table! It's a rubber I'd recommend not just to attacking players but to choppers as well!
