This is a new rubber from TIBHAR, the German manufacturer that's become one of the most famous brands right now after signing well-known players like popular YouTubers. When I touched it, it felt soft for its hardness rating. Hitting with it, I likewise don't feel much hardness. Maybe because the sheet is soft, but it really felt like it held onto the ball. Personally, I think it suits the backhand. The biggest difference from the MX-P is, above all, its power. Even with a weaker impact it still holds the ball, so it's easy to apply spin. And when you hit with a strong impact, you get a fast, deep ball, so I think this rubber can really transform your game once you master it. I feel this rubber's full appeal comes out more when used by intermediate players and above ('o')

Just as you'd expect from a rubber built around control, the control is excellent.
Also, long pips techniques are super easy to pull off, so I think it's great for people trying long pips for the first time.
When I tried it, my chop blocks landed very consistently.
There isn't that much variation in spin, but in exchange the ball lands on the table reliably, and while attacking shots don't have much power, you can do both offense and defense — it feels like an all-around rubber.
Even for experienced long pips players, if you want more stability, I think this is a good choice.
Once you get used to it, moving on to the P-1V would be a good idea.

I felt this rubber is more of a balanced type.
If I had to recommend a thickness, I'd go with max thickness.
The medium at 1.6mm isn't very thick, to the point some people might find it lacking.
Also, even though it's rated 47.5, it feels a bit on the soft side. I think it's best for backhand.
Of course you can use it on forehand too, but it doesn't produce that much arc, so it felt a bit lacking there.
If you use it, pairing it with a carbon blade gives just the right amount of bounce.
I was charmed by how "no-quirks" it is. No wonder it's the best-selling rubber. (◜◡◝)

A junior teammate of mine was using this, so I got to hit with it. My impressions are that it's easy to vary pace with and it puts spin on the ball.
First, true to the name "Pistol," the trajectory is straight, so once your opponent gets used to it, they can read it easily. As for the pace variation, depending on how much force you use, the ball can stop dead, or if you hit it hard it comes out as a straight, shallow shot. So changing your force depending on the opponent makes it easy to keep them guessing, and in that sense I think it's a good rubber. Also, smashes come out with good speed, so it's fairly nasty. And you can also play a looping-drive style by putting spin on the ball, so I think it would make a good partner for forehand short pips or penhold short pips. It takes a bit of time to get used to.
