    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The racket receives high praise for easy spin generation and user-friendliness, while some users find its weight problematic during extended play. It is recognized as a well-balanced mid-level 7-ply racket that offers better power and ease of use compared to Swat.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent spin generation with deep, powerful drives
    • Pleasant impact feel with crisp, clear sound feedback
    • User-friendly flare grip design for comfortable handling
    • Heavier weight causes reduced reaction speed in longer matches
    • Superior control and ease of use compared to Swat racket
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe ball extends significantly after touching the table and is difficult for opponents to return. Spin is easy to apply and the racket is very user-friendly. Excellent cost-performance and a masterpiece racket.
▽ CriticalDespite being supposedly slightly harder than Swat, there is little noticeable difference in characteristics. As a 7-ply racket, it feels somewhat mediocre lacking the unique qualities of comparable models.

Chaco chin man (Experience: 6〜10 years) God-tier blade! Should be selling way more...

      Player reviews

I used to use the Swat but found it a bit lacking. So I went looking for a blade with a slightly harder feel than the Swat and a bit more bounce and power, and ended up with the Altero (88g). Compared to the Swat, the plies feel tighter and it has more heft, giving me a strong sense of gripping the ball while still producing good shots. And the feel on contact is just too good. The Swat, by comparison — though it varies by individual blade — felt a bit hollow, with the ball leaving the blade a bit quickly. The Altero is supposedly slightly harder than the Swat, but I didn't really feel that.
The speed has that classic wood-blade character, launching the ball after holding it a bit. It doesn't fly out of control either, so it's easy to control. Spin comes on really easily too, so you can bring out the character of spin-oriented rubbers while still hitting with power.
It's ideal for anyone who wants to attack aggressively with powerful shots from close to mid-distance.
It has the ply thickness of something like a 5-ply, letting it flex for easy spin, while also having the power output of a 7-ply, plus good control — a genuinely greedy, do-it-all blade!

PingPongMan (Experience: 6〜10 years) A drive that keeps accelerating

      Player reviews

The Swat held the ball a bit too much for my taste, so I bought this one for a quicker release off the blade. Spin comes easily too, and it's very easy to use overall. I can't tell myself, but apparently from the opponent's side, the ball comes off the table with a lot of extension and is hard to handle. My coach also told me I'd improved a lot. I haven't changed my stroke or my rubber from when I used the Swat, so it must be down to the blade. That said, the blade is heavy, and with max-thickness rubber on both sides it comes in at close to 195g, so over the course of several matches my reactions would slow down in the later games, which is why I switched. If you can handle the weight, it's a blade with excellent value for money — I'd recommend it. I think it's a genuine gem.

Partly because the rubber is max thickness, but it has a nice heft to it. Counters feel great. Great bounce and a satisfying feel on contact. It's addictive!

      ryota (Experience: 4〜5 years) A perfect-fitting grip

      Player reviews

I originally used a Korbel/SK7, but I happened to see this blade on sale, so I bought it — and it was a big win!
The grip is really comfortable to hold and made control easy. Since I was originally using a heavier blade, this one didn't feel all that heavy to me!

I like Altero (Experience: 2〜3 years) Heavy and stiff, with a lot of bounce

      Player reviews

It really flings the ball, but the sense of gripping the ball is oddly satisfying — easy to use, but more suited to power hitters.

It's heavy. And it really flings the ball back
but the control is very easy to manage.
