Even coming from a 7-ply, I could use this Firefall FC without any weird feeling. That said, the power is a bit lacking. I'm using V>15 Extra, and I catch the net a lot. But the serves and receives are pretty good. I'm thinking of trying V>15 Stiff next.

Does this even really have special material in it?
I was surprised at first
Right now I'm using the Innerforce Layer ALC, so I want to compare it to that.

That's roughly how it feels.
With the FC, the special material barely seems to show up - I think a 7-ply blade would actually have more bounce (just my personal opinion).
That said, the feel is close to carbon, so if you're thinking about moving from wood to a carbon blade, I think this is a good way to check out what that feel is like.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I bought this after hearing it's close to an all-wood blade and doesn't bounce too much. I used to use a SWAT, and this bounces just a bit more than that, so it's not overly bouncy. That said, the ball tends to float quite a bit on the short game, and the spin level felt lower than wood blades, so it lacked consistency for me. If you have a decent amount of power, I think you're better off with a bouncier 7-ply wood blade instead of this one. Since it's light and still gives decent distance, I think it suits players with a mid-distance style who can't fully swing through with a heavier blade.

If you don't put on a hard rubber, it feels like it doesn't bounce much. Something around 45-50 hardness feels right.

I currently use the Timo Boll ZLF, and the feel is similar. This one has more restrained bounce, so it's easier to control. Drives are more stable too.

This has a feel that's laughably close to a plain wood blade
I'd like to try the version of this without the carbon
I bet it's barely any different
The special material shows its face when you hit hard
but most of the time the special material stays hidden
but maybe that's what's amazing about this blade?
The benefit of the special material only kicking in on hard shots is something this blade shares with the SC
it's a blade you can really stick with for the long haul
if you hate vibration in your hand, this one's a no-go

This is a speed-oriented blade, and since it has carbon in it, I could hit really fast balls.
There's not much of a grabbing feel on the ball, so I'd recommend soft rubbers.
