      I actually wondered, "Is this really a Swat?" It barely bounces, about the same as an ordinary beginner blade. If anything, it might bounce even less than an Aruevo. But it's easy to control, so I'd recommend it as a second blade for elementary or middle schoolers.

      This racket is affordable and I think it's great as a first racket. For rubbers, I'd recommend Swat Spin Power on the forehand and Swat Spin on the backhand.

      I used Tour on my forehand and Super Anti on my backhand.
      Overall it's a very well-balanced blade — attacking with the Tour, using the Anti to handle sharply cut serves, and then finishing the point with the Tour is an extremely strong pattern.
      I'd highly recommend it to beginners too.

      This becomes a blade with very little bounce, but if you use your wrist, body weight, and muscles to flex it into the shot, you won't get much speed, but you will get a heavy ball loaded with spin.
      Hitting the ball using your wrist, body weight, and muscles is essential for improving at table tennis. If you end up hitting with just your arm, the ball gets weak and your opponent will punish it.

      My child started playing table tennis in elementary school, so I bought the 5PW, which is billed as beginner-friendly. We tried other blades along the way, but including multiball practice, it's gradually become second nature.
      The plain Swat is often introduced as beginner-friendly, but it made me think you shouldn't get swept up by sloppy sources without asking who it's actually aimed at.
