Butterfly racket believer Best of both outer and inner carbon

I felt the Zhang Jike ALC flew way too much, so I borrowed an Innerforce Layer ALC to try, but the carbon was set too far inside and I felt it wasn't bringing out the carbon's performance.
So I noticed this one uses wenge wood and bought it, and it turned out to be a fantastic blade.
When you hit flat, the wenge top ply really does its job, and when you put spin on the ball, you can feel that flex that's unique to wood.
It's the same in the short game — on a stop, the top ply comes through, and on a push, you can put spin on the ball with the whole blade, so it's quite capable.
Because of these characteristics, it works well with pretty much any rubber, but personally I think a rubber around 47.5 degrees (37.5 on the Butterfly scale) suits it best.

A friend of mine who's transitioning from tacky rubber to tension rubber is using this. It's just hard, hard, hard. The wenge wood is amazing. The sound when you hit the ball is really high-pitched — on a full hit it almost sounds like something cracking. My friend likes to use a harder rubber on the forehand and a softer one on the backhand, and the chiquita he fires off his Burahai on the backhand is blazing fast, driving straight into the table. On the forehand too, a softer rubber makes it a bit wild, but with a harder rubber that grips the ball, the distance comes out just right. The rebound is probably not inferior to outer-carbon blades. That said, I felt it doesn't have much of that "goes in automatically" feel that outer blades have. Either way, it can produce really fast balls, and being wood, it also has that ball-holding feel unique to wood. The arc is on the low side, but you can do a lot with it — adjust the rebound with a harder rubber, or use a speed-oriented rubber to weaponize sharp, aggressive shots. It also pairs well with tacky rubber, but I felt a harder tension rubber like the 05 series suited it best.

In a word, this is a super offensive blade.
I'm a topspin drive player, and when I tried this blade, my drives went in fine and the speed was great too.
I'd say this blade is for intermediate players.

Really no complaints - it generates spin, the feel on impact is great, and the speed is beyond complaint too. My overshoot misses went away! You should definitely buy this!! The grip is on the thinner side.

This blade is stable for defensive play like blocking. Attacking shots aren't all that stable and you don't get much speed.

It bounces about as well as a special-material blade, and a high-pitched sound on impact is one of its features.
Maybe because I normally use special-material blades, the sweet spot felt narrow to me.
You might not feel much of that characteristic all-wood flex.
Personally, the Viscaria and the Timo Boll ALC felt softer to me.
(Officially, the Timo Boll ALC has higher rebound specs, so this is just my personal impression, possibly due to individual unit variation or the high-pitched impact sound of the VR.)
Things change again depending on the rubber.
At first I had Shoryu on the forehand, but it felt lacking, so when I switched to Spinart the bounce got so lively that control became difficult.
I think it depends on your own level, but I get the feeling that spring sponges just don't suit this blade.

Speed-wise, no complaints at all, but the grip is so slippery that it gets easy to lose your hold once you start sweating. Also, it takes a good amount of spin, and since it's hard, it really flies. Personally, I think it suits super-aggressive players.
