I switched over from the Timo Boll ALC.
When I actually hit with it, I was genuinely surprised.
I thought forehand and backhand wouldn't bounce all that much. But when I hit hard, the speed that came out was amazing. I put V>15 Extra on both sides, and even though the trajectory was a bit more straight-line, the ball still landed in the court in this weirdly satisfying way. I think it's pretty great for people who play close to the table or mid-distance!
Also, depending on rubber combination, but the blade itself is heavy overall at 93g, so there was the benefit of not getting pushed back by the opponent's shots.
This might be perfect for anyone who wants some ball-holding now that we're on plastic balls, but also wants speed that can blow through with one shot when you hit hard!
That said, if you back up too far you're more likely to catch the net, so I'd recommend it to people who play close to or mid-distance from the table!!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch

I used the Quartet 2 Hold for about 8 years, but since it got discontinued, I bought the AFC.
Here are my thoughts after using it for about 2 years.Since I value not overhitting the ball, the great ball-holding feel makes this really easy to use.
It pairs well with lightly tacky rubbers, and personally I think K1J fits well.
Like others have written, blocking and countering are easy with it, so I'd also recommend V15 Extra.It's easy to put spin on your serves, but the ball-holding is so good that fast long serves are a bit tricky to pull off.
If you get pushed back and end up playing at mid-distance, just sinking the ball in and pushing through is enough - with V15 you won't lose the exchange and can return with your own shot.
It's great if looping drives are your main weapon, but
if you want to blast through with one shot, or if you mainly play from mid-distance, there are probably better blades out there.
Also, though this may be down to my own lack of skill, going for a one-shot kill against backspin on the backhand is pretty tough, partly because of the weight.Personally, the thing I ended up liking more than expected is the push. It's perfect for a playing style where you send tough balls to make your opponent attack first, so you can counter after them.
Next I want to put Dignics 09C on my forehand.

I started using it because I admired Niwa, who was using it at the time.
It's supposed to be a thin blade with 4 carbon plies, but it really has a strong carbon feel and the ball comes off it very quickly.
As for the feel, there's zero shock to the hand - I actually found this blade really hard to get along with.

Overall it's really good. It also pairs well with tacky rubber. That said, it holds the ball so well that if anything you end up overshooting.

4 special-material plies (aramid carbon on the inner position, fleece carbon on the outer position).
I expected a speed-focused blade, but it turned out to be surprisingly stable. Maybe they added a lot of special material to make quality more consistent and enlarge the sweet spot? It's fairly heavy.
In terms of flight distance and arc, it feels similar to Butterfly's Arylate Carbon. That said, maybe because of the 4 special-material plies, the feel and ball quality are light. There's a gap between how solid and heavy it feels in your hand and how light the actual feel is when you hit... hmm.
The grip is a bit angular and on the thicker side, so it seems like a good fit for players who like to battle it out in long rallies.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

My impression of this blade is that it's light with a centered balance point, making it easy to swing through.
When you want to go for power it flies well, and when you want to hold back it absorbs the impact, letting you freely control the ball's speed with changes of pace. Blocking is easy, and even in rallies from mid-distance you won't get pushed back - no problems there. On top of that, the ball-holding feel is great, and the control is amazing above all else.
Koki Niwa also used the Quartet series in the past, which proves it can deliver great performance.
With VICTAS constantly rolling out new blades, I still think it's worth keeping a Quartet series blade in your bag - you won't regret it.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Every technique is easy to do and you can really get spin on the ball. I especially think the serves are sharp!
But if you back off the table it doesn't quite reach, so mid-distance feels about right.
I've put a lot of different rubbers on it and never had one that just didn't fit. Out of all the VICTAS blades, I like this one more than the Zex Gear or the Koki Niwa! Definitely give it a try.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
