It's a good blade.
The blocks feel solid and weighty, so you don't get pushed around
and it's a blade that handles both spin and speed well on attacks, too.But
this blade costs 27,000 yen.
I've also hit with the previous Ma Long Carbon, and
that one felt more like ALC, while this one is FE carbon that flies a bit softer than that.
There's no standout selling point like "this is why you need it"
it felt like a blade that's just well-balanced overall.
If that's what you're after, there are plenty of similar blades at a lower price
the only distinctive thing is the grip is quite thick.
On top of that, it's heavy and the blade size is large, so it's not a blade that appeals to everyone.
If you shave it down to your own liking it might appeal to more people
but if you're going to spend 27,000 yen
there are other crowd-pleasing blades like inner ALC ones available for less, so I can't find a compelling reason to go with this one specifically.Unless you like the design

thought "this is exactly the grip and blade shape I was looking for!"

It bounces really well, spin is easy to generate, and being able to hit heavy topspin drives is great.
The feel is very hard and it makes a metallic sound.
It pairs excellently with Hurricane rubber, but harder tension rubbers (before I switched to Hurricane) didn't seem to match it that well.
Also, my swing felt a bit delayed with it, so you need a certain amount of arm strength.
This blade feels hard to handle unless you're an advanced player, so I'd recommend buying it with that in mind.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness hard

This is my first time trying the Ma Long Carbon 2.
The 2 is an inner-carbon blade, but it really has a ton of bounce.
The grip is easy to hold, which I thought was great.

It's an inner carbon blade, but it really has a lot of speed. The ball-holding feel is great too! Topspin drives are very easy to do.

I was using the Hurricane Long 5, but I got curious and tried out Nittaku's Ma Long series blades. I'd also tried the Ma Long Carbon before this, so please check that review too. Trying the Ma Long Carbon 2, my impression was that it's a bit lackluster compared to the Ma Long Carbon—it does have bounce, but it might fall short of the Long 5 in every respect. If there's a good point, it's the short game over the table; since it doesn't bounce as much as the Long 5, the short game is good. The backhand is easy to control too, but the bounce is weak. I don't think this is a blade worth paying 25,000 yen for.

○ Grip
The grip is thin, which makes the backhand really easy to swing.
Because of that, I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't use backhand drives or chiquita, or who are mainly block-focused.
○ Bounce
It's listed as an inner type, but since the surface ply is a somewhat hard wood, it bounces more than you'd expect.
The bounce is somewhere between an inner ZLC and an outer ZLC.
○ Ball hold
Compared to blades with special inner materials, the ball doesn't stay on it as long, but it has a moderate amount of flex that makes it easy to drive with.
I think people who like the feel of hitting with a wood blade will transition to this easily.Below are my impressions of rubber compatibility.
○ Provincial Hurricane NEO3 blue sponge (forehand)
It doesn't bounce all that much on flat forehand hits, but topspin drives come out feeling really nice.
With a hard-sponge tacky rubber, if you swing forward the way you would to dig into the sponge like you do with a tension rubber, the ball comes out flat and sails long.
If you open the racket face and brush upward at an angle, the ball arcs nicely and lands deep on the table.
○ Tenergy 05 (backhand)
Blocks are easy to do without losing out against the opponent's shot.
On loops against backspin, digging the ball in and swinging forward produces a ball that runs low.
If you dig in only halfway and swing upward, the ball sails long.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

V block (Experience: １１〜２０ years) An all-round blade for going on the attack

It has a crisp, firm feel on contact, but still has the good ball-holding you'd expect from inner FE carbon. The center ply is built thick and it has plenty of bounce too. The initial speed is fast, and the ball grips the blade before flying off, so it's easy to get spin on. On top of that, the surface ply is hard, making it well-suited for smashes too. The size is around 157×150 (or close to that), so you don't really need to worry too much about rubber weight. I felt this would be perfect for players who take the initiative and attack.
