    In Rakza 7 Soft the top sheet is the same as for Rakza 7. The sponge is softer which gives the rubber more sound and built-in speed glue effect. With Rakza 7 Soft the control characteristics are improved. After hitting the ball with top spin the curve of the ball is slightly higher, giving little bit bigger margins in the game. In the short return play, the ball feel is better.

      Spin and speed are good, and I had it on my backhand and felt it was an easy rubber to play with. Being soft, it gets a lot of spin, and the feel of the ball sinking in was nice.
      That said, maybe it's a technique issue on my part, but control felt just slightly lower?
      Also, putting spin on the ball yourself is easy, but things like blocking felt a bit inferior compared to other rubbers.
      Well, it's not something that bothers me much though.
      I think intermediate players and above can handle it well.

      Yasaka's flagship rubber, the 7 Soft from the Rakza series. It has a tacky topsheet paired with a soft sponge with coarse bubbles. Pushes and meet-hits are easy to do just the way you intend. A lot of people put it on the backhand, but it doesn't have much of the "lacking something" feeling typical of soft rubbers, and since it lets you develop your feel for holding the ball, putting it on the forehand lets you refine the sensation of hitting a solid drive with a good arc. You can't produce an explosive single shot with it, but it's a rubber that can bring out your sense of touch.

      Compared to the plain Rakza 7, this is quite a bit softer, and it gets plenty of spin, but for the forehand it's too soft and the feel is dull. On the backhand, it's easy to hit balls with sharp spin, but probably because it's too soft, the ball tends to fly wild and control is difficult. Once you get used to it and learn to control the spin, it could become quite a weapon.

      Used it on the backhand side. For backhand drives, the ball doesn't grip at all. It's not even comparable to X Soft... But blocking was very easy to do.

      It puts a lot of spin on the ball. It's a bit on the soft side, so control works well too. Thanks to the way the ball gets carried along by the rubber, spin gets added almost automatically. It's easy to use, so definitely give it a try.
