In Rakza 7 Soft the top sheet is the same as for Rakza 7. The sponge is softer which gives the rubber more sound and built-in speed glue effect. With Rakza 7 Soft the control characteristics are improved. After hitting the ball with top spin the curve of the ball is slightly higher, giving little bit bigger margins in the game. In the short return play, the ball feel is better.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated as a versatile rubber for beginners and intermediate players, featuring a soft touch and excellent control. However, it falls short in speed and maximum spin compared to harder rubbers, with preferences varying depending on playing style and skill level.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft touch makes it easy for beginners to handle with superior control
    • Promotes easy spin generation, ideal for learning basic techniques like chops and drives
    • Stability-focused design resistant to opponent's spin influence
    • Well-suited for backhand with excellent durability and great value
    • May lack sufficient speed and power for aggressive attacking players
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe soft and tacky surface makes it easy for beginners and intermediate players to master each technique. Backhand drives are smooth, durability is excellent, and it offers great performance at an affordable price.
▽ CriticalNot suitable for players relying on spin to generate pace, as it doesn't provide enough bite and struggles with spin consistency despite producing speed. Player preferences vary significantly, with some finding it unsuitable.

Nora (Experience: 6〜10 years) Easy-to-use rubber

      Reviews by user

Among recent rubbers, this one has no quirks and is easy to use.
It has the kind of grip you'd get from a high-elasticity rubber, combined with tension-rubber speed and that crisp, satisfying feel.
On forehand, the ball feels a touch lighter compared to recent spin-tension rubbers, but you can still hit fast, extending drives.
On backhand too, the good ball-sinking feel makes both blocking and countering easy.
Overall I felt there were few techniques that were hard to pull off, but by the same token, there's nothing especially outstanding about its performance either.
Still, I think using this rubber without overreaching can help you improve at table tennis.

Puffy cat A friend to middle schoolers and beginners!

      Reviews by user

I used this on my backhand back when I was a beginner in my first year of junior high.
The performance was really good - pushes and blocks worked well. For backhand topspin drives though, it felt like I couldn't get much spin on it, though that might be down to my own skill level too.
I had no problem taking a backspin ball on the table and looping it into the opponent's court, so I'd really recommend this to table tennis beginners!

The Battle of Minoshima! Doesn't spin as much as expected, and feels dull too

      Reviews by user

Didn't get as much spin as I was expecting.

On the other hand, that also means you don't get affected much by the opponent's spin, so you can attack with confidence.

No top players use it, but it hits pretty well for intermediate-level players.

I'd say it's a good pick for the backhand if you're looking for consistency.

Recommended for beginners and intermediate players.
It's soft so it's easy to sink the ball into the sponge.
      Definitely give it a try.

Gratulations (Experience: 6〜10 years) A good intro to penhold backside rubber

      Reviews by user

My impressions using this on the reverse side of a penhold blade

I picked this when I first tried an inverted rubber on the reverse side
and it was perfect as a beginner rubber.
It gives you a decent amount of grip on the ball and a decent amount of bounce,
both properly there, plus at least a baseline of power (spin and speed when you hit it solidly), which gave me a real sense of security.
If you catch the ball properly on top of the sheet you get a ball with real power behind it, so it's also good for beginner/intermediate players to get a feel for that or go back and check their form.

Of course it's not enough rubber for intermediate/advanced players, but as a step-up rubber for beginners, a back-side rubber for junior high players, or for someone trying reverse-side penhold for the first time, it might still be worth recommending even today.

Jiro (Experience: 2〜3 years) A rubber that doesn't require much effort

      Reviews by user

Straight trajectory but it still stays on the table, and every technique felt easy to do. Hard to get any arc on the ball and spin is seriously lacking - this is for beginners.

Winner of the Osaka Prefecture Junior High School Tournament (Experience: 2〜3 years) Beginners should try this at least once

      Reviews by user

This blade is the best. When I first started, I used this rubber, and it got spin easily and let me hit solid drives too. On the backhand, I was able to pick up blocking and even counters (thanks to this rubber).
When you're just starting out in table tennis, I think it's better to use this rubber.
