Highly rated as a control-focused rubber for beginners to intermediate players, while opinions are divided on the lack of speed and spin. Many recommend its use on the backhand side.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent control performance with high stability
    • Soft sheet and sponge make it easy for beginners to handle
    • Particularly suitable for backhand side use
    • Good cost-performance with long durability
    • Limited maximum speed and spin potential
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveVery easy to use even for beginners, with solid spin generation and good speed output. An extremely versatile rubber suitable for beginners through intermediate players.
▽ CriticalThe rubber is too soft and absorbs the ball excessively, causing net errors for aggressive players. Speed-driven smashes struggle with stability and lack power.

Caramel (Experience: 2〜3 years) Easy for beginners too

      Reviews by user

Really easy to use even for beginners. It grips the ball well for spin and you can get good speed too. It works well for anyone from beginner to intermediate level - a pretty all-around rubber.

CHIKIN98 (Experience: Less than a year) Recommended for backhand

      Reviews by user

It's got that soft feel everyone knows about. I put it on my backhand where I don't generate much swing speed, and it gave me a solid impact with few net mistakes. But since it's soft, its ceiling is lower and it's hard to get real power out of it, so for the forehand I'd recommend Rozena or Vega Asia/Japan. The price is reasonable too.

Cut it (Experience: 4〜5 years) Traditional choppers should avoid this

      Reviews by user

My overall impression is that it's an upgraded version of Mark V.
But the spin — it just doesn't grip the ball at all...
At the very least, the first ball is hopeless. Serving with this is a lost cause.
So if you rely on sharp chops to win points, turn right around and walk away.
The control is good though, and it suits the backhand of a drive-oriented player.

Masamune (Experience: 6〜10 years) Way too soft...

      Reviews by user

Personally, it was just too soft and the ball kept slipping off, so I ended up peeling it off pretty quickly, ha.
That said, I'm confident I have a decent swing speed, so I think this would suit players on the opposite end of that spectrum.
Also, I felt the bounce is just right for beginner level, and for intermediate players I think using Omega from the same brand would be a better fit.

sunset (Experience: 6〜10 years) A rubber that brings you back to basics

      Reviews by user

I use this on my backhand.
I've tried all sorts of rubbers, but I've circled back to this one for now. The ball stays under control, so I can go in aggressively with things like flicks and chiquitas. Also, in my case, I mostly block and counter close to the table on my backhand, so it's pretty easy to use for that.
That said, it's quite soft and gets overpowered by the opponent's spin easily, so honestly it's tough to fight back against heavy spin or return it with spin of my own.

It's a versatile, all-around rubber — easy to put spin on and your topspin drives land consistently. It has that distinctive soft-rubber feel that's kind of addictive. It doesn't have much power, but I think it's a great rubber for learning the fundamentals. I think it's the perfect first step up from a high-tension (spring sponge) rubber. It also lasts a really long time and is inexpensive, so it's great value for money too.

Great value for money, the control is good too, and topspin drives carry well even without a full swing.
