I used Vega Japan on my forehand for about five years.
Drives get really good spin with it. I also find it easy to counter with.

This was my first Vega rubber. I used the max thickness version, and I was quite satisfied with the speed.
I don't think the spin is bad either. But I do find the control a bit difficult.

Loop drives are really easy to hit.

Vega Pro feels spin-oriented, while Vega Japan feels more speed-oriented. It's like Tenergy 64 with the performance dialed down a bit and the grip turned up. At first it bounced too much for me to use, but I gradually got used to it and speed drives became easy to hit too. It has great value for money, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a rubber like Tenergy 64.

I'd recommend this as a step up from a softer rubber like Vega Europe!!
Overall it's firmer, so it's easy to get spin, and you hit it with more of a brushing feel on the surface, though that doesn't mean the ball doesn't sink in at all — I'd recommend it if you're moving toward a harder rubber.
