Donic Acuda S2 is a very fast rubber with outstanding spin qualities. Close to or away from the table it is possible to play "loop-loop" as in the days of speed glued rubbers. Despite its medium-hard sponge, ACUDA S1 is easily controllable and has a great feel. You can count on ACUDA S1 even in an awkward situation. This rubber may be fast but ball control is excellent. Basic character: spin-focused, high precision fast rubber. Player's style: aggressive, first ball attack, close to the table.

This rubber was softer than I expected.
I first used it on my forehand, but it had a kind of squishy feel that made it hard to use.Using it on the backhand gave a completely different impression!
There isn't much speed, but it really grabs the ball. When you make contact and follow through fully, it does put on spin. Chiquitas are also easy to do with it. That said, when you brush it thin, the spin isn't all that much. Pushes and stops can sometimes bite incredibly well though lolIf you use a hard blade, it might even work for a chopper. The ball comes off very predictably.

I bought this on the recommendation of someone at Donic Japan, based on my blade, skill level, and playing style. I have it on the backhand side of my Person Power Carbon (Donic, 7-ply + 2 carbon, extra-thin carbon, inner).
The feel is softer than the listed hardness. It felt softer than Rigan. About the same as Mantra S or Vega Europe.
Speed is similar to Vega Europe or Rigan. Same story too - if you swing hard to get more speed, the ball tends to fly straight into the net.
The spin performance is better than Vega Europe or Rigan. Even on soft touches, it grabs the ball firmly and spins easily, which gives a lot of confidence. Backhand loops against backspin also come up nicely and stay stable. The grip feels almost like Factive.
Since the ball tends to drop when you hit hard, you don't get much distance. That's another reason I think it suits the backhand better.
I've used it for about a year and roughly 60 hours, and I don't feel much surface wear yet - it should still have some life left. That said, the edges of the rubber are starting to chip and crumble, so it might be about time to replace it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

The Acuda S2 is a solid rubber. Very easy to use. Even with an off+ blade it's not that fast. It has a good amount of spin, and blocking is easy.

It doesn't get much attention, but with the switch to plastic balls and Tenergy's rising prices, this is a rubber I personally had my eye on like crazy. Just as I expected, it produces a huge amount of spin and combines consistency with destructive power, so I'd recommend it to Tenergy users or anyone unsure about which rubber to use with the plastic ball!

You get speed, spin, control, and sound all in great balance with this rubber.
Topspin drives are stable too, and since the control is good, it's easy to use.
I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance rubber that's also affordable.All Speed Spin Control

I switched my backhand from Tenergy 64 FX to this.
Compared to Tenergy 64,
Speed → Tenergy 64 has the edge
Spin → the Acuda S2 has the edge
that's how I'd rate it.The sponge hardness is similar, though 64FX might be just a touch softer.
With the S2, the ball really sinks into the sponge on drives and comes out with that classic drive-like trajectory that lands in the opponent's court. No problems over the table or on blocks either.
You can get it for around ¥4,000, so I'd recommend it for people like me who find Tenergy too expensive.
