I heard that top players in the large-ball world all use this, so I had pretty high expectations, and it lived up to them - high performance, and I'm convinced this is the Tenergy of the large-ball world. Definitely give it a try!

I've used Jewel, Royal, Hayate 44, Spin Magic, XTEND LB, L-Meister, and more, but in my impression Allegro gives the sharpest serves. It's a rubber that balances speed and spin at a high level. The pips don't wear out easily either, and I think the value for money is excellent. A large-ball rubber I'd recommend.

This turned out to be a great rubber.
It's well balanced on both offense and defense, and it suited my playing style really well.
I think I'll keep using this rubber for a while lol.

Jon (Experience: More than 20 years) A large-ball rubber with high-level balance

      Reviews by user

I've used all kinds of large-ball rubbers over the years — JUIC, Armstrong, Mizuno, TSP, Nittaku (Royal, Jewel), and Donic.
Among all of them, Allegro has such a high balance of "speed" and "spin" that even when I try other rubbers, I always end up going back to Allegro.
The feel on impact has more backbone than other rubbers and is high-tension. It's easy to control both loops and angled shots with just how much power I put in.
That said, it's a bit harder than the others, so blocks and pushes might be tricky until you get used to it.

For someone like me who came from hard-ball table tennis, the speed and how quickly the ball leaves the rubber make it really easy to use! However, control is quite a bit lower compared to Royal. Personally, I get more speed than with Royal and can switch between drives and knuckle balls, so if you're a player with good control, I'd recommend this over Royal.

My impression is that it's like the GF adapted for large ball. The ball digs in really deep, so speed and spin come together at a high level!
