I've been using this rubber for about 6 years now and I can't go back to anything else.
The outstanding spin on loops, the sharpness of pushes, and the speed of flat hits are all a cut above the rest.
That said, fast drives aren't all that stable, so I'd really recommend the loop-then-flat-hit tactic.
Even at max thickness, it handles chop blocks, flicks, and side-spin redirects — it's a rubber that's ready for any short-game technique.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This level of performance at this price is amazing. It's easy to use, and both speed and spin are great. With a name like Ventus Speed you'd think it's all about speed, but spin is easy to put on too.

I used this on my forehand.
At first the ball just came up with a blurry, muted feel and I kept hitting long, spinless balls one after another.
As a test I switched to a head-heavy balance and it completely transformed into a heavy, spinny, fast ball. The sheet grabs the ball and grips well. The sponge has a unique feel — it doesn't snap the ball back sharply, more like it softly absorbs it — but it delivers speed, distance, and stability.
A sink-in drive gets a high arc and plenty of power. A grazing drive comes out sharp with a gliding, penetrating trajectory.
Serves and receives get plenty of spin too and aren't hard to do, though the sponge's unique feel takes some getting used to.
Blocking and countering are stable. Here too the feel is unique — it's not particularly firm, yet oddly it doesn't lose out against the power of the incoming ball.The feel on contact isn't especially crisp or refreshing, but since it grabs spin well, carries well, and stays stable, it's a fun rubber once you get used to it. I'd recommend pairing it with a head-heavy blade.

For a "hard type" rubber, it feels surprisingly soft. It bounces with a springy, bouncy feel — not quite up to Tenergy or Rakza level, but the ball sinks in well enough that spin is easy to put on, and drives tend to be fairly stable. There's a slightly mushy, muted feel on contact, but personally I didn't run into much of the ball dropping short from being too soft, or flying long from sinking in too much, and the spin has a feel that reminds me of the old 40mm ball era, so it felt like I'd found a good one. Because it's so mushy, flat hits feel a bit off — even hitting hard, the sponge seems to absorb the shot and the ball doesn't come out that fast. Maybe because of the sponge's springiness, short blocks are easily affected by incoming spin and tend to fly further than expected, and while pushes are fine as long as you're actively putting spin on them yourself, just blocking the ball without adding spin means it won't cut low and will bounce on its own, making it a type that's hard to control. It's also heavy — clearly heavier than tacky rubbers. Still, getting this much spin on drives at this price is a real help. My impression is that it's like Vega Asia became a bit less bouncy, gained more spin in exchange, and got heavier as a result.

It's the hardest in the Ventus series, but it's still on the soft side overall — probably medium hardness.

The sponge hardness is rated 45 degrees, but the sheet is on the softer side, so it doesn't actually feel that hard.
Light hits have a kind of springy, bouncy feel.
Serves take some getting used to, but once you're used to them you won't have any trouble putting spin on.
This rubber's real strength is the feel and trajectory of the topspin drive.
When you hit a drive, it grips the ball with a real "gooot!!" feeling.
And then there's the high arc.
By putting solid spin on the ball while letting it sink in, you can generate speed too, and even a light stroke sends out a really good ball.
Honestly, the squishy feeling you get when hitting a drive with this rubber becomes addictive, and I can't go back to other rubbers now. It's genuinely a great rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I borrowed a friend's blade for a month and used it on the forehand.
Personally, I felt it was an amazing rubber.
The short game and blocking are good too, but what really stands out is how stable the attacking shots are.
The ball lands on the table while still coming out fast with plenty of spin.
You might need a fast swing, but it's really fun to use.
The only thing is that serves fly a bit long, so it takes some getting used to. Other than that, it's genuinely excellent.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
