I use this for backhand chops. It's better suited to aggressive chopping than block-style chopping. It also lets you put spin on the ball, so you can hit backhand topspin drives close to the table.

Perplexity (Experience: More than 20 years) For better or worse, a very "Yasaka" middle-of-the-road rubber

The pip shape on the sheet is very similar to Booster SA.
Structurally, it feels like "a Booster SA with more elasticity."
Because the ball comes off faster, the amount of spin is lower than SA.
The sheet grips the ball well, so you don't get flat, straight balls or knuckle balls the way you would with something like Moristo SP.That said, it doesn't produce heavy spin like Booster SA or Hexer Pips either.
True to Yasaka's rubbers, you could call it "well balanced," butpersonally I feel it's kind of "in-between" and middle-of-the-road (lol).
Since it's a short pips rubber, I feel like it could stand to have a bit more of its own character.
Rather than chasing that classic short-pips feel, I think you'd get more out of "stable attacking play" by pairing it with an outer special-material blade and swinging away freely. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I use this on the forehand of my penhold blade. Being a horizontal-pip rubber, the spin is good. The speed is more than enough too. Serves and receives bite well. Drives are easy. The feel on contact is indescribably good! The ball sinks in and springs back, similar to the Booster series. Yasaka's short pips rubber is really great. The price is good too. Top-notch, honestly.

This is a really easy rubber to use.
It gets more spin than I expected.
Receiving is pretty easy with it too.
It's very easy to control, so the ball goes exactly where I'm aiming.
Blocking is a bit tricky, so instead of blocking and hoping the opponent makes an error, I think it's better to play aggressively with counters. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I switched over from Spectol Blue.
The pips are horizontal. Even for a short pips rubber, it gave the impression of being very easy to spin and quite stable.
Knuckle balls are easy to produce too.
You can go for speed or play a spin game — either works. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Honestly, every technique is easy to pull off with this rubber.
It's a great rubber for players aiming for a low-error, rally-oriented style. It's also fairly light, so swinging it around close to the table feels easy too. It's surprising that something this good comes at this price.
If I had to name one downside, it would be that the bounce is a bit lacking.
It might not be enough for people who want a one-shot-kill smash!!, but I think it's definitely worth trying. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The hardness felt just right, making it easy to do meet-hits and flicks.
You can produce knuckle balls on purpose, but they don't happen
naturally on their own.
Drives and serves get a decent amount of spin.
I think this is a great choice for forehand pips players, backhand pips players who value consistency, or people switching over from inverted rubber. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
