RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.

I'd been using Rakza 7 up until now, but since we're moving into the plastic ball era, I decided to switch to Rakza X. The first thing I noticed was that the ball-holding and grip are the best out of all the rubbers I've used so far. When I drive, the ball arcs nicely and flies, and it keeps extending even after bouncing on the table — if someone just blocks it back normally, it goes flying off somewhere lol. That said, the drive is more spin-focused with only moderate speed, so it's hard to blow it past someone untouched — I think this suits a style where you trade drives and grind out the point instead. The serves also bite well, and personally I liked the sidespin serves best. Overall, I felt this suits drive-oriented players who want to focus more on spin and grind out points.

This rubber is similar to Tenergy, but the difference is that it's hard — like, really hard!
I'd always used the softest rubbers I could find, so I thought I'd made a mistake going with a hard one...
but once I got used to it, I thought it was a really great rubber. Since Tenergy prices keep going up, why not try this instead?All Speed Spin Control

Hitting forehand shots, the first thing I noticed was how strong the grip is. It's not quite tacky-level, but it grips the ball a lot more than the tension rubbers from a bit earlier.
Thanks to that strong grip, topspin-drive techniques are really easy to pull off. Looping against short pushes in particular is super easy. Even with a bit of an arm-only swing, the ball still arcs nicely and flies stably.

The blade I used is the Wa no Kiwami Ao.
Being built for the plastic ball, the shot speed was a bit low, but the spin felt great and I could hit drives with a nice arcing trajectory.
I felt it was easier to use on the backhand, if anything.
