Speed and spin are just okay, but it's really easy to control. It works well for a wide range of players, from beginners to advanced.

I've got it on the backhand of my Swat at max thickness. On the forehand I have Vega Asia. I tried it on the forehand too, but for spin, unless you bite into the ball rather than brush it, it slips. The hardness makes you want to ask "is this really 45?" - it feels soft. So a 48 might have been fine too. In exchange, the control is outstanding. Overall, I think it's a cut above other rubbers in this price range. I'm going to enter a tournament with this current setup.

It's easy to put spin on.
This rubber suits the backhand more than the forehand, and the stability is on a whole different level! Until you get used to it, though, you'll tend to overshoot a lot.

Zhuo God (Experience: 6〜10 years) Bounces just the right amount

Up until now I'd been using Tenergy 80 on both sides. But after Tenergy's price went up, I thought I'd try switching, so I put GFT45 on both sides. On both forehand and backhand, the drive obviously has less spin and speed than Tenergy 80, but the drive draws a proper arc and is stable, and even with its grip, I can still block properly. Also, this is just my personal impression, but it seems to last a bit longer than a typical German rubber. Going forward, I think I'll use GFT45 on my backhand.

Easy to use! I'd recommend it for the forehand too if you don't have a lot of arm strength!

Andy (Experience: 6〜10 years) If you're torn on the backhand...

      Reviews by user

Since it's designed for the plastic ball, I started using it on my backhand right away. I was originally torn between this and the GFT40, but after a lot of thought, I feel like going with the 45 was the right call. That's because I used to have Rakza 7 Soft on my backhand, but it was too soft, and my aggressive over-the-table receives weren't working out well. Granted, that might just be my own lack of skill... The GFT45 has just the right hardness, and if you swing through properly it has good grip, so my mistakes have clearly gone down.
Anyway, I'd recommend it for anyone torn about what to put on their backhand. By the way, I've got a 48 on my forehand, and that's working well too.
