All new for 2015 is the Nittaku Fastarc P-1! Solely designed for the polyurethane ball, this rubber has the best of all worlds from Nittaku's most popular and best selling rubber series - the Fastarc! Designed for close, mid & far distance play from the table it has the same soft strong sponge that has made the Fastarc Series of rubbers a fast, spinny and powerful rubber yet easy to control. The sponge uses the same medium hardness as the Fastarc G-1 but is super lightweight at 37.5 degrees. The pimple diameter is the same as the Fastarc S-1 and the gap between the pimples is slightly larger than the Fastarc C-1. The Nittaku Fastarc P-1 is for the player that wants to create spin, speed, power & precision while creating artistic shots!

This is a rubber that makes the short game close to the table easy. The speed is high. Topspin drives get a decent amount of spin too. I think the control is also on the high side.

It feels a bit softer than the G-1.
It doesn't slip easily, spin on drives and the like comes on well, and smashes are easy to hit too.
It gives the impression of an all-mighty, do-everything rubber.

The blade I used it on is the Acoustic Carbon.
I put it on my forehand.
I've used every rubber in the Fastarc series, and I'm convinced they're all excellent, so when I heard a new Fastarc had been developed for plastic balls, I bought it right on release day.
The first thing I noticed is that while the Fastarc series is known for a high arc, the P-1's arc was lower than I expected. The power on drives and smashes was high. When I hit drives from around mid-distance, the speed really came through too. However, if I hit it half-heartedly, it tended to catch the net easily.
My personal take is that playing close to the table is very stable, and you can hit fast drives even with plastic balls, but topspin rallies from mid-distance feel a bit harder to manage.
I felt this is a rubber that takes the G-1 and lowers its arc a bit while making it more aggressive.All Speed Spin Control

This was a very easy-to-use rubber. But honestly, that's about all there is to say about it.
There's nothing in particular that's hard to do with it, but I also didn't feel there was anything it made especially easy either. I think the feel is similar to the Roundell.
I felt this is less a rubber for advanced players and more one for people who want to bump their level up a notch. That said, its lifespan is short for a Fastarc series rubber - I felt it wore out faster than Tenergy even. Drives where the ball sinks in nicely go in easily, so I'd recommend it to drive-oriented players.All Speed Spin Control

I use this rubber on my backhand, and it's amazing - blocks go in no matter what. Ever since I started using this rubber, my backhand has become really stable, so please give it a try.

It feels similar to Tenergy 64, with a slightly softer topsheet. The ball sinks into the sponge, so I think it's easy to put spin on. Also, when hitting topspin drives from mid-distance, it draws a nice clean arc and goes in, so I think it's a good rubber.
But its lifespan is just plain short. A week after putting it on, the surface got smooth and slick, and when I tried to hit speed drives I couldn't get much spin on the ball anymore.All Speed Spin Control

Takaya Thick is enough

Since it's marketed specifically for plastic balls, you can hit plenty powerful shots even with a plastic ball. I use the thick version, and the power is more than enough - I think going to max thickness would make it fly too much and hurt stability.
Since this rubber is made in Germany, it's extremely sensitive to humidity, and if you hit it thin the ball drops straight down. But if you make sure to really sink the ball into the sponge when you hit, it's not much of an issue.
Topspin drive: Great extension and a clean arc; even a light swing produces a good shot.
Block: It feels a bit like it flies too much, so if you don't hold it down firmly it's not stable.
Push/stop: You can put spin on consistently, and it's easy to control the length short or long, I think.
Counter: It doesn't lose out against powerful shots, so you can hit without much force and it still goes in.That's it for this review.
