All new for 2015 is the Nittaku Fastarc P-1! Solely designed for the polyurethane ball, this rubber has the best of all worlds from Nittaku's most popular and best selling rubber series - the Fastarc! Designed for close, mid & far distance play from the table it has the same soft strong sponge that has made the Fastarc Series of rubbers a fast, spinny and powerful rubber yet easy to control. The sponge uses the same medium hardness as the Fastarc G-1 but is super lightweight at 37.5 degrees. The pimple diameter is the same as the Fastarc S-1 and the gap between the pimples is slightly larger than the Fastarc C-1. The Nittaku Fastarc P-1 is for the player that wants to create spin, speed, power & precision while creating artistic shots!

This is the fastest in the Fastarc series. It felt even faster than S1 to me. On drives, if you don't get the ball to sink into the sponge it'll drop off. It's easy to play the short game with, and you can make it bounce when you want it to. Hitting flat shots lands deeper on the table than with other rubbers. That said, I think it's difficult for players with a slow swing or not much control.
I'd recommend it to players with a fast swing or who want a solid short game.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It feels like it sits right between G1 and C1. I'd recommend it to people who want a bit more speed than G1 gives, or a bit more spin than C1 gives!

I'm a slim 66-year-old man who normally uses Fastarc C1 medium-thick, but when I went to the table tennis shop to get my rubber replaced, they unfortunately were out of stock on C1. So, on the shop owner's recommendation, I tried putting P1 thick on the forehand side of my shakehand blade instead. I test-hit it for three days on my machine at home. (^o^) I'm left-handed and, lacking power, I only really hit loop drives, but the ball seems to leave the rubber too quickly for me to get the arc I want. I also noticed cases where the drive wouldn't grip and the ball would drop short. It really made me realize again how important it is to read reviews carefully and choose a rubber that matches your own playing style. That said, I did feel that the power on my shots was excellent, and I recognize that plenty of players out there make great use of what P1 offers and improve with it.

I borrowed this from a friend who was using it. It bounces when you want it to bounce and stays controlled when you don't want it to, so it feels very stable.

To put it bluntly, I think this rubber really tests the player's skill.
When someone like me uses it, I feel a bit of awkwardness and that the spin isn't quite enough, but I think advanced players with 3-4 years of experience would probably handle it without any trouble.

My thoughts on the Fastarc P-1. Just to note, I'm using it on my backhand.
1. Drive — 9/10
If you swing all the way through it's fast with strong spin, but if your timing is a bit late the speed drops quite a bit. (Still plenty, though)
2. Serve
Only tried backhand serves, but they carried a ton of spin and my opponents kept missing them.
3. Flick, chiquita
The trajectory is low, but it still lands consistently with a nice arc. The amount of spin is more than enough.
Overall
This rubber is an all-around 5-out-of-5 type of rubber, good at everything. I'd recommend it to players who want stability and reach on the forehand, and power and stability on the backhand.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used this on my backhand. Because it has strong bounce, countering isn't that easy, but the power on a single shot is amazing. It really shows its performance from mid-distance and away from the table. The ball-holding feel is the best I've had — even when my form broke down, my backhand drive against backspin felt like it kept holding the ball throughout the stroke. Using it on the forehand makes topspin rallies and mid/far-distance play easier, and the ball-holding on sidespin shots is incredible‼️
