Most players are looking for that rubber that fits them just right. Nittaku has introduced the Fastarc series with a variety to choose from. The Fastarc G-1 has the most power of the series. It's a very direct and to the point rubber. All offensive strokes from fast drives at the table to long distance counterlooping are executed with high precision. The hardest and fastest of all the Fastarcs.

I used max thickness on my backhand.
This is a comparison with V11.
Short game: V11 > G1
Counter: V11 = G1
Block: V11 = G1
It's about 5g heavier, and G1 travels farther.
There's not much difference in spin on topspin-to-topspin drives. G1 has enough grip that it feels like it grabs the ball once before releasing it, so preference will vary. Players with strong impact will probably prefer V11.
On drives against backspin, G1 generates more spin, but compared to V11 there's more variation in misses. Overall consistency isn't hugely different.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This is a comparison against V15 Extra.
Compared to the V15, underspin lifts more easily and it grabs a lot more spin.
That said, the ball tends to come out more "plain," and it's lost that growling feeling the V15 had.Also, since it's easy to draw a nice arc, it's stable, but it takes some time to get used to for pushes and receiving.

I heard that players like Ishikawa, Morizono, and Ito use this Fastarc G-1, and I felt it really does have that level of performance. I think it suits the backhand better than the forehand. Using it on the forehand left me uneasy about power and control and it was hard to use, but on the backhand it felt very stable! Smashes depend a lot on your swing speed so they test your actual skill, but drives with a brushing stroke go in fine, even if there's a bit of a slipping feeling. If you sink the ball in, both speed and spin come out solidly. Also, for close-to-the-table play, the ball goes in whether you hit it flat or brush it. That made it easy to add variation on the chiquita, which was nice! Blocks are also easy and give the impression of landing right on the table - a really good rubber! If we're talking Nittaku rubbers, I think this is the best one! I think the strength of this rubber is that it lets you achieve both offensive and defensive technique at a high level. A springier blade works better with it. Even with a springy blade, blocking was still easy, so I'd really, really recommend this rubber for the backhand!

I bought the MAX thickness.
In conclusion, I like it. I even switched my backup blade to G1 MAX on both sides, so I ended up buying 4 sheets total (lol)Before switching I was pretty deep in the equipment rabbit hole, using Rakza Z, Rakza ZEH, and Glayzer 09C.
Even coming from a slightly tacky rubber, the amount of spin didn't feel lacking. G1 felt softer and easier to use in terms of hardness.
Maybe because it's MAX, but so far I haven't run into the "the ball drops" or "it clips" issues people talk about.Regarding variance between individual G1 sheets,
this might just be coincidence, but my red one was soft and the black one was a bit harder. Both sheets

I switched to Fastarc G1 at the same time as switching to the Innerforce Layer ALC.
This rubber makes it easy to hit a variety of techniques like loop drives, smashes, and counters, letting you play high-level table tennis with both speed and spin. It also lasts a long time, so I can recommend it to students too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
