Most players are looking for that rubber that fits them just right. Nittaku has introduced the Fastarc series with a variety to choose from. The Fastarc G-1 has the most power of the series. It's a very direct and to the point rubber. All offensive strokes from fast drives at the table to long distance counterlooping are executed with high precision. The hardest and fastest of all the Fastarcs.

I used MAX on my forehand for about a year.
Before that I used thick, and this sinks into the sponge more than thick did.
(Drive against topspin) ... The ball flies in a straighter line, and since the ball sinks in, it felt slightly softer than thick. Advanced players with a strong impact might feel the ball drop when they hit it hard. Also, I felt this is a rubber that wins more through ball speed than through piling on spin!
(Meet hit) ... Really good. Smashes leave a good impression too. Recommended for players who use a lot of meet hits!
(Drive against backspin) ... With speed drives, if you get a solid impact the ball goes in well, but if it's half-hearted you'll make mistakes. Basically this is a rubber where you have to make it work yourself. Same goes for loop drives. That said, the amount of spin is a bit lower than today's high-end rubbers, but that difference in spin can still be scary for your opponent.
(Counter-hitting) ... It lets you counter well, which is good! Though against balls with a lot of spin I felt a bit of clipping.
[G-1 has good balance and is moderately hard, so I can recommend it to intermediate players and above!
But for middle/high schoolers or beginners who don't have a solid enough impact yet, another rubber in the Fastarc series would be better.]All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It feels like a slightly more user-friendly version of Dignics? Meet hits have power and serves are easy to produce too. Drives, of course, as well. I had a junior teammate who's a chopper try it too, and it worked fine for chops and increased the power on his forehand. Might be fun for choppers to try it in medium thickness too.

I hit drives constantly, and this rubber makes it really easy to get spin on the ball, so it's easy for me to play with.

There are plenty of other rubbers out there with plenty of spin and a high arc.
But I'd say what's good about this rubber is really that it can "do anything."
Drives fly with a high arc, but smashes go in a straight line.
The bounce is high, yet stops still stop dead.
With Japanese penhold you end up doing almost every technique with a single rubber, so this versatility is a real blessing. I can see why so many people choose it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Easy to use at any age, and it's good both for meet hits and for letting the ball sink in with spin. That said, if you take the ball too thin it can clip the edge and drop short, so it needs a certain amount of impact. If it feels too hard, or you're not confident in your impact, I think trying the C-1 from the same series would let you hit comfortably!

I'm using MAX on my forehand.
My drives land deep on the table properly. And they're stable at the same time. Both spin and speed are more than enough.
The short game is flawless too. The grip is strong, so I found it easy to control.
The only downsides are that sometimes the ball doesn't drop when hitting from below the table level, and if you take too much power off the shot, the ball drops short.
