      For the price, the fact that it bounces so well is great. I guess that's the whole concept behind this product.

      But the spin is hopelessly weak lol
      Players who really load up spin mid-rally should probably use a different rubber…

      But if you're the type who can't really put spin on backhand drives but doesn't mind, as long as the ball goes in — this might actually suit you well. It's not very affected by incoming spin, and if you just block it flat, it's super stable.

      Blocking was easy.

      It's barely affected by incoming spin, but you can still put your own spin on the ball.

      I think the smart way to use Hammond is to put it on your backhand — getting both control there and a good feel on the forehand side — and mix up whether you put spin on your pushes or not, to break down your opponent's form.

      For the forehand rubber, I'd recommend the Plaxon series or the Fly Art series.

      I think this rubber is great for beginners who want to build a feel for the game, and for intermediate players who want to prioritize speed.
      I used it as my very first forehand rubber when I started playing table tennis, and I think it's thanks to this rubber that I can hit fast topspin drives now.
      Counters and blocks come out really fast too, so I'd recommend it for the backhand as well.
      This is a rubber I'd highly recommend to anyone just starting out in table tennis who wants to hit drives with speed.

      As a beginner, I find this really easy to use.
      I tried the one a senior teammate picked out, and I was able to hit stable shots with it.
      I think this rubber is meant for beginners.
      I also think it pairs well with short pips on the other side.

      I think this rubber suits countering.
      I.e., the stronger your opponent is, the more this rubber's performance shows.
      So it feels a bit wasted on beginners.
      So I'd recommend it to people who want to counter-hit.
      I think it's good on the backhand.

      Since it was cheap, I wasn't expecting much performance, but it has more speed than I thought. You can also get spin on it if you try, so I thought this is a rubber anyone could use. That said, compared to something like the Fastarc, all its stats are quite a bit lower, so if you're going to put it on, I'd say the backhand (since blocking is easy with it...).
