      This came already attached to the backhand of the racket I bought right after starting table tennis. It has a reputation for having a soft sponge that's easy to control, but the ball flies off quite a bit, so while it was easy to practice stepping back and blocking the opponent's hard shots, I found it very hard to generate my own spin and attack with it. Maybe because it's light and cheap it's marketed toward beginners, but it actually feels like it has a fairly distinct character, so these days I think it's more of a rubber that intermediate players pick for a specific purpose rather than something for beginners.

      The performance is amazing for the price!
      And it lasts a really long time too!

      I used the thick version on my backhand.
      I'd always struggled to get my backhand topspin drive in, but this rubber fixed that!! It's especially easy to drive against backspin! The trajectory is flawless too! The only thing is my pushes tended to float up a bit. I'd recommend putting this on your backhand! I think it's the perfect rubber to help you level up, so I'd recommend it to beginners and anyone aiming to become intermediate!

      Niwa love man Beginner

      I'd recommend this to anyone who's about to seriously get into table tennis. Great value for money, of course, but that's not all it has going for it. For a beginner-oriented rubber, it puts out good speed and spin too. And yet it's easy to use. I definitely think this beats things like Jamin or Rooking (in my opinion). Personally I like Hammond more than Mark V. Once it wears out, switching to something like Hammond Pro Alpha is a good move.

      This was my first rubber. Honestly, it falls short for intermediate-to-advanced players. But in exchange, the control is quite good, and I got the impression it's very easy to use.

      Over a decade ago, back when speed glue was still allowed, I used this on Hammond and hit forehand drives constantly.

      Recently I got nostalgic and tried it again after a long time, and without glue, plus with the plastic ball, to put it kindly it felt like a beginner-friendly rubber with both speed and spin kept at a moderate, manageable level. It's soft, so control is easy.

      Blocking and chiquitas were easy to do, so I'd say it's good for both sides for a beginner, for a novice's backhand, or for an intermediate player who prioritizes backhand stability.
