With the new Rakza PO Yasaka has developed a short pimpled out rubber. Offering increased spin capacity, due to the shape of the pimpled geometry and the use of more natural gum in the top sheet.

It grips the ball unlike what you'd expect from short pips. Both drives and chops come out with heavy spin. You can also just flick it like a normal short-pips rubber when you want to.

Just like other reviews mention, this generates a lot of spin.
However, it also has some slide to it, so if you catch the ball thin it leads straight to a lost point.
Flat hits have that typical tension-rubber feel and are easy to knock off, but it's not a rubber that lands the ball for you automatically, so you always have to be conscious of your contact point.
For short blocks, maybe because of the slide, I felt it was easier than expected to produce knuckle balls even though it's a spin-oriented rubber.
If you let the ball slide, you can also produce a soft block that lands gently.
Pushes also tend to float if you catch the ball thin, and the bounce is strong, so it required a lot of concentration.
Overall performance is high and it felt very demanding to control, so my impression is that it's best suited to advanced players.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Ikkun's Grandpa (Experience: ４〜５ years) Hard yet grips the ball well

The feel is similar to the Pachi-Suma II, but the ball sinks into the sponge and grips several steps stronger — hit it thick and it actually grips better than inverted rubber, making it easy to put spin on. Drives get plenty of spin too, and the bounce comes off low with a big curve, letting you hit a powerful ball.
Serves bite well and it's easy to keep them short.
The chiquita is easy to do too,
and you can flick hard on the backhand as well.
Even though it's short pips, you can use it just like inverted rubber, and pairing it with a Super Kim on the other side, switching between hard and soft shots, has become my strongest combination.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Ikkun's Grandpa (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Grip like nothing else

Compared to the Pachi-Suma II, this one is a bit softer, but when you hit it thick you get a grip on the ball that you don't even feel with the Plaxon inverted rubber, along with a low, dull impact sound.
Even hitting it thin, the trajectory stays low and it grips the ball well for spin.
On drives and loop drives too, you get plenty of spin, and even a slow swing produces a surprisingly powerful ball. Speed up the swing using your shoulder blades and collarbone, and you can hit a speed drive on par with a smash.
The backhand push also has plenty of speed, and the chiquita grips the ball just like an inverted rubber, making it easy to handle.
Serves bite well too — this has a grip and ease of spinning the ball unlike any of the 12 rubbers I've used before. You can hit it hard or soft, and if you loosen your grip and let the head of the blade do the work, this is a rubber that makes table tennis fun. I was good at flat hitting when I used inverted rubber, so I switched to short pips. I got used to it after only 2-3 hours, keeping almost the same form. Smashes, pushes, blocks, and serves are all fine without changing how you hit them from inverted rubber. For serves, it seems to grip the ball when you brush it thickly. Receiving is very easy with this.

As someone new to short pips rubber, this one was a real handful for me. It's a rubber that made me feel that beginners really are better off with a non-tension rubber.

This review is from a chopper's perspective. First, chops came out with a low trajectory and heavy backspin. Hitting a push had plenty of power, but I felt it lacked stability. Smashing a floated stop from the opponent was stable if I paused for a split second before hitting, but if I went straight into it without pausing it would sail long. I think this is a good rubber for intermediate choppers.
