RAKZA X is the first rubber with NSS (New Surface System), Yasaka’s new production process to improve the grip of the rubber surface. NSS gives a stronger touch when hitting the ball, and the control in both attack and blocking is improved.
In RAKZA X Soft the same surface rubber is working together with a relatively soft sponge, Feel Sponge, with good catapult effect. The combination of the elastic sponge and high grip top sheet increase the the feeling and improves the control of your game.

From my own experience using it, I'd recommend it for the backhand. Backhand topspin drives especially are easy to do. It doesn't generate much speed, but the control is good. It's suited to players who stay close to mid-distance from the table.

This time I tried out the Rakza X Soft. At first I figured "soft" meant it would feel soft, but actually the sheet is hard. So it felt hard to me. I'm reviewing it here compared to the regular X and the 7 Soft. Since it's hard despite being "soft," it works just fine on the forehand. It's also easy to use on the backhand. For topspin drives, it's easy to generate spin. It needs less impact than the X to produce a lot of spin, meaning you get spin even with a light touch. For light-touch, easy drive speed, it goes [X Soft = 7 Soft > X]. That said, the top-end speed is a bit lacking. And for hard, powerful drives, it feels more like [X > X Soft > 7 Soft]. Of the three, the X Soft has the flattest trajectory. For ease of putting spin on a topspin drive, it's [X Soft = 7 Soft > X]. I found the X Soft's attacking performance to be quite high. Overall, this rubber has very high reliability in terms of consistency and how well it grabs the ball for spin.

I used it on my backhand side.
Attacking techniques are easy to use across the board, and best of all, since it's NSS, there's no slipping and I can put the ball exactly where I want.
That said, blocking and receiving were pretty tough. That's the downside of NSS — it's very affected by the opponent's spin, and if you don't get the angle just right the ball flies way off. Guess you just have to make up for it with technique (lol)It says "soft" but it works perfectly fine on the forehand too. Actually, I'd say the regular Rakza X is quite hard (just my opinion). Well, the sheet is hard, so...

It's a fairly soft rubber that lets even players without great physicality or touch put spin on the ball easily. It feels easy to use for every spin-based technique. Another appeal is that it's cheaper than the other post-Tenergy rubbers.
The downside is that, in exchange for that stability, it's a bit hard to generate speed, so I think it demands playing close to mid-distance from the table.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used it on my backhand side.
Since it's the soft version, my backhand felt more stable,
but for chiquita and hard backhand
hits, I think the regular Rakza X is better suited.

The sponge is soft but the sheet is quite hard, so it actually feels harder than expected. The grip on the ball from the sheet is really good, but because the sheet is hard, if you don't swing with a decent amount of force the ball just bounces off instead of sinking into the sponge, so it's tricky to handle. Personally I think it's best suited for players who are good at brushing the ball. It's also pretty affected by incoming spin, so you need real skill to use it well.

I used this on the reverse side of a Chinese penhold.
It feels like a harder version of Tenergy 80.
